  • In this episode of Iron City Garage BIll gets to work on the 1929 Ford Model A. This is the final piece off the Montana load from a couple weeks back. This unfortunately is also probably the roughest one by far. The engine is locked up on this almost 100 year old car but we who knows whats in store!     You do have to lift the Body off frame especially the front portion of tne body - Serial number is stamped on top of frame , drivers side just below the A pillar on the frame - no other way to get to it. After all these years it maybe rusted away.-- Rodney

    As a Model A guy, I don't usually like cars getting cut up for hot rods, but this is a pretty good candidate for that.

    You are looking under the fender for the serial number. the number is under the 'BODY'.

    I was surprised to learn that 523,922 of the 1929 Model A, Tutors were produced.

    You need to pull the engine and free it up, I've seen it done before, the car has more carector and more originality with original engine
