aquiles was the live drummer on their dragonforce tour because their other drummer gee anzalone,was in the hospital needed to recover,you can check bro.aquiles is the only one chosen by dragonforce since coronavirus made them postpone the tour until spring 2021

@@Carriesaglock, remember John uses double strokes on the kick, which are massive energy savers. also, he's most likely using a 20" kick. Aquiles seems to be using 24" kicks in the video. the difference between a 20" and a 24" kick is massive. not shitting on John or Aquiles. both are insane. but this video is not "nothing really" This takes an insane amount of stamina

Holy fuck this guy beats the shit out of the kit with absolute authority. Absolutely top tier performer, and I don't even like this song. HEY PAISTE, give him more stuff, he deserves it. It's been a while since I got impressed by some drumming, and I've watched all the big names. Few come close to delivering this ammount of energy to the kit like he does, however technical they may be. Legend.

Yeah most don’t push the pedals that hard at that tempo -if they can even do that tempo.
Try check out Eloy Casagrande from Sepultura, simply one of his best (and most powerful) students.
He really plays goods,he doesnt hit with force those drumheads.
There is lots of drummers who hits drums so hard,like they trying forge excalibur😃 they can be really good with playing, but they sound like a astmatic lawnmower.

Essa versão me fez lembrar quando um professor meu do conservatório pendurou uma entrevista do Aquiles pra revista Modern Drummer onde ele fala sobre dedicação, a importância de sentar e estudar como se não houvesse o amanhã, pra servir de exemplo para os alunos. Não tem caminho fácil. E o Aquiles é mesmo uma inspiração. Detalhe: esse professor era regente e compositor de coral de igreja.
E tem alguma relevância ele trabalhar com igreja??
@@MatheusHenrique-ri7om Se for levar em conta que rockeiros não são vistos com bons olhos nas igrejas, sim, tem relevância. Foi reconhecida a qualidade do músico e ainda foi usado como referência para os alunos.
@@hugovcav Na verdade, o músico de igreja quando realmente é MÚSICO mesmo, ele sabe apreciar um outro músico profissional independente de onde esse músico seja. Esse negócio de "ah, ele é do rock ou ele é do sertanejo e blablabla" deve ser deixado de lado imediatamente quando se avalia o profissionalismo de um músico de alto nível. Quando a pessoa deixa de prestigiar um cara como o Aquiles pq ele toca numa banda de rock mundana, a pessoa já alcançou um nível de ignorância extremo e ainda assim é repleto de religião no coração. Seu professor teve uma baita de uma iniciativa, está certíssimo.

Me parece que quanto mais os anos se vão melhor e mais rápido o Aquiles consegue ser, graças a muito treino, estudo e determinação. Quando o Aquiles chegar aos 100 anos, e creio que todos nós torcemos muito para isso, ele estará tocando mais rápido do que o próprio som, quando começarmos a ouvir o som ele já terminou. Aquiles é uma lenda do rock e um dos maiores bateras do mundo. Orgulho de ter esse ‘monstro’ como brasileiro.

Its amazing that he can play some of those fast as fuck fills and still come out right in time. Its so easy to get lost on long fills like that and he makes that shit look easy as hell. Dude is a monster. I think its a good thing he didnt get picked by DT because I think it would have held him back as a drummer.
