in the first song where they "picked a battle" with NiN, it was actually started by Trent Reznor talking shit about Fred in an interview, so in response Fred made this song, and even credited Trent for the lyrics, so in the end Trent was basically made to sign it, so LimpBizkit won that
People tend to dislike stuff just because everyone else says it sucks. Limp bizkit is one of those things.
Alot of Limp bizskits stuff does indeed suck and most of it is just silly. I still vibe with this album because it holds a special place in my heart from my early teens years. But I can admit that alot of it is just corny.
Trent Reznor actually dissed Fred Durst in interviews and his song Starfuckers, so Hot Dog was Fred’s answer.
Have you ever listened to Sum 41? If not, what if you tried their album "Chuck" ? it's their most heavy, metal and best album. Maybe you'd be interested in it like from an originally pop punk band and it would be a good reaction. 👍😎
There are two things to limp bizkit that just hit that little bit differently. First, and this should never be understated, is just how good, and how important Wes Borland is to that band, and sets them apart from a lot of others from that era. Second is the live show. I've been to hundreds of shows over the last two and a half decades. I've been to very very few, where the crowd, from front to back, just bounces. No one does it quite like limp bizkit do. They are purely a nostalgia band now, and are at the stage where they are fully embracing that. They do also have a few songs that absolutely slap (also, in fairness, they do have some that are proper shite)
It's 6x Platinum album, so this not can be bad. Me personally most like The One, It'll Be Ok and Boiler
Funnily enough Trent Reznor hated Limp Bizkit for making supposedly watered down pop friendly versions of actual metal and rock bands, ignoring the fact that many industrial artists accuse of Trent and Nine Inch Nails doing exactly the same to industrial music.

They are incredible live I saw them last year and the energy was unreal. if you ever have the chance see them live.

The producer knocked it out of the park, like the music or not, the bass tone, drums, and guitar tone sound fucking incredible. Not to mention Wes’ very outside of the box, creative, groovy riffing

I liked a fair bit of the album Results may Vary. Its different. Still got love for these guys and their ability to pump you up.

When my big brother had this album, new, we were in our WWF phase 😂 He had a wall of CDs and if he wasnt home id hide under his bed so i could listen to Limp Bizkit/Eminem/Kid Rock (🤣🤣🤣🤣)

I despised LB for the first 15 or so years of their existence. Thought they were the worst band on the planet back then...
Today, I think LB is the best band on the planet, and I'm not being sarcastic.
Whenever you listen to Limp Bizkit just imagine 10,000 people singing it as loud as they can drunk af just not giving a shit. Its not the best music ever but I just saw them last week and the live atmosphere is next to none!!
Their best album is "the unquestionable truth part 1". They recorded it live in studio. This album is very underrated, more down to earth, not that usual corny bizkit sound and some really, really good music! Wes really shines on this album.
Wes is a pretty underrated guitarist. He had a mr bungle esq project called big dumb face that did everything from death metal to country.c

Boiler and Hold On got me through my first break up. Best tracks on the album.
I like some of the newer songs like Out of style or turn it up bitch, dad vibes.
And Rolling is unironically one of the best songs in its genre
You know what, I dont think that ***anyone*** is going to back me up on this but I really wish you listen to limp bizkits album 'results may vary'. Its the album that was credited at the time for killing nu metall (how tragic), therefore it has receved many many huge criticism and I would say that most of the fans hate it, but in actuallity, in my opinion, it is the most sensitive, thoughtfull and out of their lane that the band has ever been. It is a more pop/hip-hop orientated album and it kind of is my favorite project by them.
Plus Fred stops singing like an edge boy and his lyrics shown way more maturity

I don’t think you grok just how ENORMOUS Limp Bizkit were when this album came out. They were one of the biggest bands in the world.
Just some background...Trent said a lot of shit about Fred and Limp Bizkit, so here's a diss track just like 2P and Big. And, you're kind of hating on their style...you either like their style or don't and you're so far up NIN's ass that you would'nt like it from the beginning. I do however support your statement about STP....one of the greatest bands ever!
