    How can you talk for 45 minutes about Iran nuclear programme without a mention of Israeli nuclear weapons.

    • @rft2001
      @rft2001 Před 2 lety

      Because the topic isn't Israel man. Apples and oranges. Israel doesn't go around threatening all of it's neighbors and even questioning it's neighbor's right to even exist. If your neighbor threatened to kill you, would you want them to buy a bazooka? I am really surprised that someone who flashes a peace sign and dove (I'm also a hippie but a realist as well) would want to defend a repressive, homophobic, violent, theocratic, misogynistic, anti-drug/cognitive freedom, anti-human rights, anti-democratic state that supports terror not only against Israel and the US but against many of it's fellow Arab nations. Do even realize why Israel believes that they need nuclear weapons? Because they have been threatened and attacked so many times over the years. Jews came to Israel seeking a homeland after long never having one and after suffering age-old repression simply because they were always in the minority because they didn't evangelize and embrace colonialism like the Christians and Muslims did. They create Israel after the Holocaust and you want to question their right to defend themselves against an aggressor that states that they have no right to exist? Come on man, you are making hippies look dumb.

    The best course of action is for Iran to leave the NPT now since it is getting hit by Israel anyways and if the US asks her to rejoin the talks, the price will be pretty clear: 1-reissue the sanctions' waivers to Iran's main oil buyers like China, India and Japan and South Korea. 2-Ask Israel to consider joining the NPT.

  • @MrZZooh
    @MrZZooh Před 2 lety +1

    Elliot Abrams sounds the smartest but is in fact the one who is full of contradictions. He talks about how the deal should have been a treaty and such and when the lady tells him hey bro we pulled out of treaties too, he brings up Obama turning down Bush's promise to Israel because it was not a treaty. In other words it should only be a treaty when it suits his political agenda but not when it doesn't. How convenient? Also he keeps bringing up the IRGC wanting to kill Pompeo and Pence to argue for their terrorist designation while completely forgetting that this is a new development that resulted directly from the fact that Trump put them on the terrorist list prior to killing Soleimani. In other words, they don't have much to lose since they're damned either way. He sounds a lot smarter than he is and is the most emotional. Bob Einhorn seems the one who is best informed about all this, not that I agree with any one of them. Their hypocrisy towards Israel's nukes and the fact that America doesn't even ask them to consider joining the NPT speaks volumes as to who they really are.

      @@toby9999 you are absolutely wrong. Nuclear weapon doesn’t guarantee deterrence anymore as long as you can protect yourself and retaliate against any attacks by other means. Iran has that capability and proved that on so many occasions. What Iran wants is to be a member global market. This could pour billions of dollars into iranian economy and help the regime in advancing their regional ambitions. This is the main reason Israel and other regional rivals are so against Jcpoa. If it was the nuke they should have been supportive since the agreement could monitor Iran’s nuclear activity.

    Military intervention is the only way to stop the nuclear problem. Sounds harsh but it's the only way I see right now. Nuclear is not a weapon that everyone should have. Look at Russia, a big problem.
    I think a solution could be no one country should have nuclear weapons, nuclear should exist but the only entity that should have nuclear is the U.N.
    So all countries should submit all of their nuclear weapons to the U.N. any country that refuses would have extremely extreme sanctions laid against it.
