Thanks for watching, ya'll! I know this one is quite a bit longer than usual but I wanted to make sure I was being as thorough as possible to show you that UV Unwrapping isn't so intimidating after all.
And as I mention in the video, referencing UV Maps on other 3D models is super useful! That's why the Gumroad version of the course includes the Love-chan model .blend file with 100% finished UVs and a fully featured rig! (Along with the Suzy model that also has 100% finished UV's and a fully featured rig!) Check out the Gumroad version today before the price goes up when the series is completed! ✨crashsune.gumroad.com/l/LowPolyCourse ✨

Thank u for this guide! Imo the fact that the texture map isn't perfect is a good thing, I feel like I've learned more by having to work around the little imperfections

I just speedran your entire modeling tutorial today and now I feel confident in modeling low-poly goofy goobers!
Can't wait for the rigging part :D

the UVs overlapping can cause issues if you use traditional lights, in this case since we used emission, the emission thing does not reacts to light, it doesn't generates a shadow and ignores all sorts of lights, that's why it's called emission
it's mostly used for lightbulbs, the sun, things that almost never interact with the light cuz they are a source of light itself

Amazing tutorial, thanks you so much for explaining eveything in detail, and giving tips in how to improve the workflow.
There isn't many tutorials, and references in detail about this technique, which I really love since is a mixture of pixel / lowres textures + cell shading with lowpoly 3d models
I didn't know about the project from view option, and normaly I cut seams, and ended up with rotated uvs, slowing my workflow.
Artistically, what would be a good color range of saturation, and value in a color palette for this style?, considering the unshaded style
    Thanks again.

Im sorry for asking so many questions lol.. But anyways
I cant go into Rendered mode because when I do, my whole blender crashes. Is there a way to fix that or am I screwed?

Sorry for the late response! You can try pressing Z then going into Solid Preview, then going to the top right of the 3D Viewport panel and clicking on the arrow drop-down right next to the four sphere icons all the way at the top right and click on "Texture" under "Color" and "Flat" under "Lighting" at the top. Then press Z again and clicking Material Preview.
