    Very interesting jewelry. It’s not my favorite, but I do like how different it is.

    I for one love the mid venture, it speaks to me, to me it has style and says look at me jewelry. It was a time when woman were freer and able to be bold

      Oh Holly I'm so sorry to hear that you have been sick and am glad to hear that you are getting better. I'll be making videos again in 2021 and am looking forward to coming back. Agree on mid century jewelry. It's so beautiful! xoxo

    Mid-century modern is probably my favorite era as far as design goes. Especially in the architecture. I also love mid-century modern dishware.

      Oh I agree. I do have some mid mod dishware that I enjoy using. xoxo

    Oh, this style is right up my alley! Big, bold, and abstract. I love it! Have you seen the chandeliers at the Metropolitan Opera? They're one of my favorite things in NYC and they remind me of some of those Sputnik earrings you showed.

      @JillMaurer  Před 5 lety

      This era suits you perfectly! I haven't seen those chandeliers. OHHHH! I just googled them!!! LOVE!! xoxo

    Absolutely love mid-century jewelry & have several custom pieces. An equal love is Art Deco. (ps: I don’t cook anymore). 🥺

      Those are two great periods. They are both wearable and have their own style of drama. Ha! Love your emoji about not cooking anymore. There is certainly no shame in that! xoxo

    That is so interesting. I haven’t really seen those jewelry in person. Feel like statement jewelry. Where can we find those pieces? Thank You so much dear for sharing ❤️

    • @JillMaurer
      @JillMaurer  Před 5 lety

      You can find those through estate jewelry dealers. Unfortunately you have to hunt them down. My friend Donnie has all kinds of things but doesn't keep his web site up to date. Sometime I'd love to show his jewelry here. xoxo

      Thanks Dee! It can be nice to know about the periods you don't like too. It helps clarify what you like about the periods that you do like. xoxo

    Those last pieces looked like brutalist jewelry. Is brutalist considered mid century jewelry.

    • @JillMaurer
      @JillMaurer  Před 4 lety

      Brutalist flourished in the mid century and is often included with it. xoxo
