The Concert Band is one of a number of ensembles of the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own" (usarmyband.com). This performance features music directors from across the country who were invited to participate in the Band's Annual Conductors Workshop, at Brucker Hall, Fort Myer, Virginia.

Christopher Huls is in his third year as a doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado in Boulder, studying with Dr. Donald McKinney. Prior to his studies at CU, he received a Masters of Arts in Instrumental Conducting (Wind Emphasis) and the University of Central Missouri, and a Bachelors of Arts in Clarinet Performance at Drake University.
