In all of Mr Robot I think the most heartbreaking thing to watch for me was Angela’s character arc. It’s crazy to me how so many people don’t like her character, and think she was a bad person… rather than seeing how devastating it was for Elliot and Darlene to watch their best friend deteriorate mentally before their eyes due to Whiterose’s manipulation. Brainwashing is a powerful thing, so is hope, which is exactly why Whiterose was able to completely control Angela and what ultimately led to her demise.
I really wanted to make an edit that focused on that, aswell as how Elliot and Darlene coped with and handled her death… and this song fit absolutely perfectly. The lyrics fit Angela/Elliot/Darlene and this situation so well… which is why I chose to use no voice overs in the first half of this so the lyrics could be the focus.

We were so focused with Elliot's trauma that we got distracted. Darlene and Angela were victims too and in the end Angela was the one who paid the ultimate price. I've always felt so sad for her.
Angela’s storyline was so upsetting. The fact she died in the beginning of the last series made it difficult for me to let it truly sink in.
Liv xoxo it really was, I am a sucker for angsty character progression though... but I do wish her death was a couple more episodes in!! I do think it was necessary for her character to die though given the way her story was going. It was just so sad 😞
@@dani-hx1hl after watching season 4 for the second time, I think the only reason for Angela's death in the first episode is only for Elliot and Darlene to focus in a certain way so that they can eliminate White Rose once and for all. Maybe if Angela had never died things would have been otherwise, probably all dead. I may be wrong but I think that is the reason for Angela's early death.

I am so in love with you ending on that line. Angela’s belief and conviction was the reason she had such a meteoric rise despite her sometimes shaky self esteem, and then her belief in the wrong thing is why White Rose could manipulate her. All Angela’s power ended up being hollow because it just furthered White Rose’s agenda, and Angela’s conviction and drive only got her killed.

'no matter what happens we'll be okay' and then they weren't and neither was I.I was so eager to see her character's arc in S4 so when her death happened in the first few minutes i was so shocked,it literally made me so angry that i wanted to stop watching for a while.People dislike her for what she did but they forget to notice that how her trauma is not as visible as Elliot's or Darlene's panic attacks.She suffered a lot.I knew shit was going down when whiterose gave 23-27 ? minutes for her conversation whereas for Elliot it was only a few.
