This was am Amazing movie.This Pastor and his family exemplifies "True" Christianity! The church was Blessed to have such a Pastor! He is human but when he struggled, he always prayed to God for strength and guidance so he could better serve his family and congregation.

The pastor was an idiot to not call police the first night and the pastors wife too. The first time she couldn't We need to trust our instincts. The pastors wife should have called police for wellness check.

The head cop/investigator and the wife were the best actors. He was hunky and wonderful in every scene. Might watch this movie again.... ☺️

My whole life I had the gift of dreams as well as what one calls an being an empath. My dreams that are meant to show me warnings always come true. My latest dream came true and now I am afraid that the one I had prior will as well. They weren't about me but family members. I don't sleep for this very reason. This movie was based on a true story. For the ones who got murdered, RIP, God fearing children of God. This movie and the people whose lives it has affected, and how strong their faith is, is very moving. Praise be the Lord to know there are people who are called by His name preaching, and living a Godly life. Peace be with you all!

@@donnasikes7041 It's not free, I wasted my precious time, which any Christian knows you can't buy back, to watch this drivel, hoping in vain that it would get better, that there would possibly be a storyline that would respect this couple's terrible murder, unfortunately that didn't happen, I would be disappointed if this was my parents legacy.
The lead actor bears a striking resemblance to Christopher Reeve (who played Superman, was paralysed in an accident and has now passed) and the family name of the murdered couple was also Reeve. Interesting coincidence.

Im learning to pray when i wake up. When i have an unpleasant or confusing dream, i pray about it and i cancel it. Confusing dreams shouldnt be left to chance because God is not the author of confusion. I also pray for the people i saw in those unpleasant dreams.
You should feel your dreams, usually, they are sent by the Lord and he is trying to guide you. I listened to my dreams and they have saved me from harm!!

Never mind the negative comments below. This is a good movie and worth watching. I looked up the real crime. The killer was paroled in 2011 and absconded to Florida. He was caught and thrown back in prison.

I really like this story, how to see God works using a husband and wife who fear God to overcome all their fears in responding to the horrific murder of a pair of God's servants, and I like the life of God's servant and his 6 children who are all loyal and love each other and they always pray with faith

As a movie...80% of the almost 2 hours are they praying, crying or laughing. In 2 hours absolutely nothing happens. It's like watching a lifetime movie where nothing happens.

I actually agree with your impression of the movie. I’m not one to need instant gratification while watching a movie. I like a STORY to unfold and get to know the characters but there wasn’t much of a story in this movie. I don’t understand why the pastor and wife were the focus other than the faith part, which I get because I am a Christian so I do enjoy faith-based movies but this one missed the mark.
The acting was pretty bad too but it’s not always a dealbreaker for me.
For example:
I enjoyed watching those movies about the rapture and the acting was terrible but I could overlook it because the story was effective.
This movie went nowhere.

Exactly! And also a film that can be made without a cuss word in it in almost every scene. I’m not just saying that because it’s a “Christian” film either. I’ve seen other movies based on Christian themes if you will, but still have profanity in them. I get so sick of movies to where they say GD so many times! The writer actually writes that in the script. It’s sad when so many movies take the Lord’s name in vain so much nowadays than ever, that if you get through a movie with just a few F bombs it’s considered “not that terrible” lol ... My church youth group leader taught us about how the “F” word wasn’t always a bad word. It was used commonly via plumbers when working with piping. But society way back when made it dirty 🤣. It’s interesting how it became a bad word. And then we questioned her why shit is bad & poop 💩 isn’t? Lol. Sorry I wrote a book. God bless.

This is a good movie and a beautiful testament to God’s love of us. I am a Christian, so was my husband but neither of us knew about praying together to make it work. We prayed before we ate; we prayed alone. I can see how much better it would be if a family actually took prayers to a more inclusive part of life than just meal time and church time. We did not stay married.

Did ever think that "idolatry" is not the best way to communicate with Jesus? It's a very common mistake.
If someone dropped to their knees and started to worship you, not asking you of what's is troubling you. and they didn't ask anything special just bow their heads and mumble nice things about you. What would you do? Nothing of course, so why do you think "Idolatry" will work with Jesus or any other of "the Greats" like the American Indian's master and protecter?
Don't give up on Jesus! Try this. After your usual worship prayer with Jesus, ask Jesus to help you "for your highest and best good" and then forget about it. It works!
Jesus or other "spirit helpers" do not respond to "idolatry". They respond to "genuine" needs to help you for your "highest and best good".
Just a curious question. How much did you pay the Church to not tell you the full truth of how Jesus can really help you???
Think about that. Even in the Bible you are instructed "ask and you shall receive". So, what is stopping from living the life you want?
In your next prayer ask for understanding. And learn it through "compassion". Focus on that. I'm not saying your marriage would have lasted. Divorce is more God's plan, so the outcome of your marriage was already "fixed in stone" well before you were born.
How so??? Study Karma. Karma is the "architect" of the present life you were born into.
Don't worry about formality, just sit quietly and ask Jesus to help you with that.

@@fritzsmith3296 I haven’t given up on Jesus AT ALL! I’m a strong Christian and your response does not apply to my situation or life. I’ve been divorced a long, long time. Cannot begin to understand your idolatry reference, but it does not apply. I just wanted someone to read my thought and perhaps apply it to their situation. It’s all OK. I can totally see how praying together - TO GOD, not each other! - is good for a marriage. Know lots of friends who do. TY for responding. 🦫
