We had heard this song and watched the original video before, in a failed attempt to film a reaction, but we then decided to react to the 1991 Moscow video because many of you guys have suggested it and boy are we glad we did! Thank you for recommending such an iconic video! Feel free to leave more suggestions in the comment section below!

@@TheStefan6969 And what a concert it was!! Metallica Pantera AC/DC.. I think the biggest standout was the last song of the festival;, For those about to rock - AC/DC it mostly focused on the crowd captured at different times through out the day/night then the cool surprise towards the end of the song. To Think AC/DC were the headline band when Metallica were at there peak and Pantera had just arrived with Cowboys from Hell album and about to take the crown from Metallica as the baddest Metal band on the planet.

FACT - The opening song before sandman its iconic The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone made for movie The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from 1966 with Clint Eastwood
Metallica have made a studio cover on this song for tribute to Ennio and they use this song as opening on every concert since 1983 or 1984
Metallica has also played ecstasy one time live in Copenhagen, Denmark 2009 that was a result in a live footage on bluray fan can 6
If you for some weird reason have not heard of the film or seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch it, the song is at the end of the movie in one of most iconic scenes ever made on film

As mentioned before, it is about a child that has nightmares. In America, children are taught that the Sand man must come at night because in the morning, there appears to be a speck of "sand" in the red part of the eye socket near the forehead (sorry, I don't know what it's called). So, "Enter Sandman" refers to someone falling asleep, so the sand man comes.

To answer the sisters question; The song is about SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), or in other words children going to sleep and not waking up, so yes, it is about death, but a very specific and sad form of death. It is also based on the belief that the story of Peter Pan is that Peter Pan visits children that are about to die a tragic and painful death and instead takes them in their sleep to “Never Never Land”. In essence, he is killing the children, but in doing so he is sparing them the pain they would have felt had he not.

I think it would be great if you did more reactions to one of their Big 4 performances. Seeing the Big 4 of Heavy Metal (Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth) do "Am I Evil," was pretty cool.

I've seen Metallica live four times, and seen countless concert videos, and always assumed James must be really tall since he's always hunched over at the microphone. Nope. Shorter than me. Now, James, Lars and Kirk? TINY. The lesson here? You'll always look like a giant when you're surrounded by Lilliputians. ;-)

I'd say at least half the world population (at least 3 billion) people have heard this song.

Seattle 1989 was their best concert. You guys should check it out, or even better react to a song. For whom the bell tolls, Fade to black or welcome home sanitarium are good ones from this show.

This concert was a historic event. The iron curtain had just fallen and this concert was the first of it's kind allowed in Russia. Time Warner put on this free concert to test out the new market. Several metal/rock bands were there. The Russian army that was there policing the event had no clue what was going on and a lot of people got beaten by them, I think some died.
