I think they’re saving Jacob Fatu for a moment when we’re not expecting him. We expected him at Backlash and now, we have no idea when he’ll turn up. It’ll make his debut more impactful imo.
Maybe they saving him to be the final member of solos bloodline which I’m all for. Or maybe saving him to have him help one of the usos or Roman when he returns. U gotta think how big of a draw he is and how important fatu is. The moment he walks out in front of that crowd you’re gonna feel his presence
@Papellxhase Believe it or not he’s barely a draw at all and he’s not important at all. You only heard of him because you follow wrestling on the internet. He’s less known than the two that just arrived are. I’m not saying this to be mean either, just he’s nothing yet. I think a lot of people are hearing his name now but how many people actually saw an MLW match? I think he’ll be brought in by solo as a heel because if he showed up to save Roman 99.99% of the audience won’t recognise him.
That was probably the greatest wrestling crowd of all time. Going back to the states for the weekly shows with near silence and random “what” chants is going to be painful
I like how backlash is starting become a show that doesn’t really have much hype because it’s right after Wrestlemania so most of the major stories just wrapped up but it smashes expectations mostly because of the insane crowds. The spirit of European crowds in sports is not to cheer when the team wins, it's to cheer and hype the team to bring it to the win. Always support your team even in defeat
So in America we elevate big moments in the game. like in football we cheer on 3rd down, red zone, and TD. We don’t make a 2nd and 8 a big play. In other countries they grew their culture around soccer (which doesn’t have that many massive moments per game). So they make the entire game mean something and cheer, chant, and sing all throughout it
I do believe the bash in berlin crowd will easily beat backlash france crowd, germany is known for having the craziest soccer fans who cheer for their team for the whole match even if they’re losing 5-0
@Narcissist17 I've been to Dortmund games, so chill. They're very good. I haven't gone to a Leverkusen one. Good try, though. I'm basque lol, so I'm kind of biased. But I agree on the German crowds being better. I just wanted to give my input
TBF Roger Ebert was that reviewer for movies (dude got South Park episode named after him and he was mentioned in ''Bad Touch'' song), but he unfortunately passed away
After the crowd reaction for Jey I wish he woulda won his match even more than I already did. I also loved that crowd and the way they elevated the intensity of the matches was amazing. Definitely agree they should start putting the B Tier PLE in markets that don’t get as much love because they will take it more seriously as we just saw. It reminds me of the NFL game in Germany in 2022 where the crowd became the highlight of the whole game in a way. Our US crowds definitely lacking, not just in wrestling but a lot of sports
I'm actually much happier we got Tonga Loa - Guerrillas of Destiny or G.O.D in the WWE is so exciting. WWE has an incredible Tag Team division and they could be a serious threat and culminate in something like The Usos vs G.O.D at next year's Mania. Bloodline truly is feeding the WWE for years and will continue to do so for years to come.
Opinions please. Everyone expects Cody v Randy, Rock and Roman. However at the press conference Cody mentioned LA Knight. How do you see this happening and will LA Knight lose his second chance at the belt. We all expect a feud with Lgan Paul (probably at Summer Slam) but Cody just put the cat amongst the pigeons
I think the crowd was great for the PLE where it was all in ring actuon. They started to grate on me for Smackdown when promos and things are getting hijacked. You can cheer for a whole football match because theres nobody trying to verbally tell a story during it. You dont chant through a play
I feel both ways about the French fans energy. Sometimes it took me out of the match, but when the big important parts of matches happened the crowd sold the shii out of it and made it special. I would rather this than a completely flat crowd
Stade de France in Paris is 80k+ in a football configuration, for Wrestling it could get too 85k or even 90k, and Parc des Princes is 60k in football configuration and there are plenty 60k+ stadiums in France and accross Europe.
Wild that it’s taken a wrestling show for me to realise that Americans don’t get crowd interaction at sporting events. Even in Australia we cheer for a good amount of the sporting match, it’s just normal for us
Thing is you can't win either way. At Wrestlemania night 1 everyone was complaining the crowd was dead and here they are complaining they were too loud. Surely too loud is better.
@@drewizzle2214they were. Trust me. I’ve been to a few international sports games most notably soccer . They pay attention to the games but randomly start getting louder and singing lol I love it actually. They are just showing their culture and their appreciation to everyone. So it’s no surprise they were hella loud for wwe which they should be. Our own country can’t give wrestlers pops and make them feel important . France popped for every wrestler that walked out and made them feel like gods, also there wasn’t a phone in sight when the match was rolling . Just enjoy fans who appreciate
They cant do the every PLE outside of US because it problematic for the talent. Its bad enough the flight schedule for Raw, Smackdown and hows shows , then we are going to add more miles to em by having leave the states every 2-4 weeks? Thats freaking tough!
I agree with Santi on having a card that has 5-6 matches. It gives more time for the in ring talent to shine and also shows how well things are being booked now under HHH. We didn’t need to have a triple threat IC match or Womens World Championship match for the B level pay per view to feel special. Back in the day, these titles would be on the card but would maybe get 5-8 minutes which would ruin the champions title reign with these mediocre defences.
Honestly, I don't mind seeing even the Big 4 PPVs outside of the States. Imagine a big Royal Rumble return with a crowd as bonkers as this. Imagine all the returns like Cena 2008, Edge 2010 and 2020 with THIS crowd.
Re: the star ratings system vs movie ratings... movies used to be real similar with Siskel & Ebert's thumbs up/down ratings. People treated those like gospel for a long time. But the expansion of the internet gave voices (and ease of access to those voices) to many more movie reviewers, and hence we got Rotten Tomatoes. If WWE (or wrestling in general) ever somehow got as mainstream as MOVIES, I'm sure the same thing would happen, but right now we don't have an abundance of people who go out of their way to provide consistent ratings for every match/show and do so in an easily accessible way. Meltzer is kinda the only one in the industry who has been doing it for forever and publishing it consistently over all that time. Other than that you may have dirt sheets or CZcams channels rise and fall but none of them tend to stand the test of time like Meltzer has. That doesn't mean his word should be gospel, but it IS an impressive feat to think about just how long he's been reviewing wrestling shows consistently.
I think what makes me upset about backlash the most is Jay not winning. He deserves singles gold and it makes me sad cause he’s not had one solo match without anybody interfering.
I think Jacob will align with jey, jimmy and Roman as their tribal chief while Solo with Tama and Tanga will align with The Rock as the rogue bloodline. I also wanna see Naomi and Nia Jax joining this feud.
I think, for a Mania to happen outside the US, in this case, Europe, it'll be in a stadium where football wouldn't be impacted. Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu has a retractable roof, movable grass field, in a major capital city in Europe (and the weather could be much nicer than London/Paris, tbh). Wembley would be a massive thing to do to match and overtake AEW's show, Stade de France in Paris could be an idea, so could the Frankfurt stadium with the retractable roof. We'll see, Mania will likely be in Europe sometime in the next 5 years, if crowds continue to be boiling hot as they have been for every event. The way to go, for me, is to host one of the other big 4, namely a Summerslam, as a Summer event in Europe sells like crazy, culturally speaking. Everyone will be more likely to get some time off. Also, WWE has to do things differently, RAW and SmackDown need to start getting taped live in Europe again, a good reason as to why people don't go as hard in the US as in Europe has to do with the ease of access to the best shows around. Europeans will get a number of WWE Live shows, a couple of PLEs and respective SD tapings, but some of those WWE Live events need to change to a regular WWE TV taping. Make it a week or two of shows being shot out of Europe (e.g.: a PLE in Italy could be preceeded and succeeded of a RAW in Lyon, then the SD/PLE in Italy, and then a RAW in Spain), so it isn't just those few nights a year. The gate record is fun and all, but the scarcity of supply is obviously upping the demand and the price of tickets, floor seats for two nights in Berlin will be over $4k, average/near-nosebleed seats in the stands for Clash at the Castle are in the multiple hundreds, WWE is milking their cash cow overseas, as is their right, but I'm not entirely sure how sustainable and overall successful this will be in the long run. We definitely need a proper stadium show, like Cardiff, where the arena size will allow for tickets to be a bit cheaper and accessible to all fans.
I would suggest NA fans in general, start watching events outside North America. As Santi suggested: Bundesliga (germany), Ligue 1 (France), Serie A (Italy), Premier League (England) and Laliga (spain) fans cheer for their teams all through the match. Im from England, so it is alien to me that crowds in America only cheer for the major moments in their respected sports.
@wolvgrizz7763 Also from England but I think it’s just different. USA celebrate the high spots, Japan watch and applaud at the end and Europe forget why they came and get drunk and dance and shout, sing and fight. All have their pros and cons. Some could say ignoring a world heavyweight title match to sing your national anthem and show off what a good crowd you are, is a bit disrespectful. I liked them, but I don’t think American crowds are bad, just different.
@@jaybee4288 great comment there, i dont think American crowds are bad, i just feel its weird to not cheer all the time. Thats just the situation of how Europe is different to NA.
The only time I felt the crowd was too much was on Smack Down whenever people would try to cut a promo. However during an actual match, get as loud as you want.

I wouldn't say "easily" I've been to German sporting games. Some fans aren't celebrating a 5 nil loss. They're pissed. But we'll see 😂😂
I mean France does not even scratch the surface when it comes to great crowds. Hopefully we can see wwe in Greece turkey or even argentina and brazil
@@kevinuchiha6830 you probably never been to BVB or Leverkusen games before
@@ojasjain7977 i don’t see wwe going to a lot of European countries other than France, UK, Germany, Spain and maybe Italy
Day 6 of asking Santi for a "Best Bald WWE Wrestlers" while also being bald himself
Wonder is Santi saw the sign someone was holding of his channel
He did see the sign. He missed the start of the Randy/Ko vs Bloodline brawl cos he was going back trying to find the sign haha
Backclash 2024 is better than backlash 2023. Someone had to say it.
We USED to go to one place to find out how good movies were. Every movie trailer had "siskel and ebert give it 2 thumbs up"
Day 7 of asking for a current version of a legend (i.e. Sammy Guevara as Chris Jericho) video. Not my best example today but best I can make.
I get the distracting aspect of the crowd chants but I honestly loved it, it kept me into the show for sure
He won’t beef with him and knight can’t afford another world title lost. Next time he has a big money match for the belt he’s winning it
Totally agree. Hope its against Logan Paul at Summerslam
Man I saw your image in hand of one of people in backlash during cody rhodes entrance
I think the crowd was great for the PLE where it was all in ring actuon. They started to grate on me for Smackdown when promos and things are getting hijacked. You can cheer for a whole football match because theres nobody trying to verbally tell a story during it. You dont chant through a play
Nah assuming the Rock is leading solos bloodline, Roman Jey and Jimmy getting Jacob Fatu would even out the numbers
I feel both ways about the French fans energy. Sometimes it took me out of the match, but when the big important parts of matches happened the crowd sold the shii out of it and made it special. I would rather this than a completely flat crowd
I like the idea of Jacob joining the side of Jey and Jimmy in the Bloodline Civil War
WE WANT JACOB FATU
Day 1 of asking Best PPV or PLE from 2002 - 2023 you can also include NXT it ahould be Matchwise, storylines, pacing, main event etc
Stade de France in Paris is 80k+ in a football configuration, for Wrestling it could get too 85k or even 90k, and Parc des Princes is 60k in football configuration and there are plenty 60k+ stadiums in France and accross Europe.
Day 15 of asking for top 10 dream free agents signing with the WWE.
stand and deliver in the sphere would go crazy
Santi, what ps5 do you have, would you recommend it because i have the money but is it worth it?
Wild that it’s taken a wrestling show for me to realise that Americans don’t get crowd interaction at sporting events. Even in Australia we cheer for a good amount of the sporting match, it’s just normal for us
Here in under a minute
Was the crowd annoying at times, absolutely! But it was unique and that's what makes it special.
Thing is you can't win either way. At Wrestlemania night 1 everyone was complaining the crowd was dead and here they are complaining they were too loud. Surely too loud is better.
@@mackapacka77 Louder is always better, but it felt like they weren't focused on the match at times and that dampened the experience.
"ONE... TWO... SOCCER MULLET!..🎵 Soccer Mullet... Soccer Mullet... Soccer Mullet..🎵" It just got annoying if you don't speak French.
I’m thankful for Mania beginning in my hometown ❤️🙏🏾
My wrestling hot take is that the andre the giant batle royal should have been in france
Every B level PPV is outside the US this year. At least all the ones that have been announced
That's the best way to handle it weirdly enough. The crowd will make those ppvs feel bigger than they are.
AGREED WHERE WAS JACOB
They cant do the every PLE outside of US because it problematic for the talent. Its bad enough the flight schedule for Raw, Smackdown and hows shows , then we are going to add more miles to em by having leave the states every 2-4 weeks? Thats freaking tough!
People complaining about the France crowd singing is the reason American crowds suck
Day 6 of asking for undertaker streak matches that should’ve happened
Easy number 1 for me is prime Undertaker vs prime John Cena in the time period of 2005 to 2008.
IL EST VRAIMENT, IL EST VRAIMENT, IL EST VRAIMENT PHÉNOMÉNA LALALALALALA NALALALALALALA
u said tales santi. I don't care as long as we get your banger content!!
Wyatt 6 should have arrived at backlash
no more build
I agree with Santi on having a card that has 5-6 matches. It gives more time for the in ring talent to shine and also shows how well things are being booked now under HHH. We didn’t need to have a triple threat IC match or Womens World Championship match for the B level pay per view to feel special. Back in the day, these titles would be on the card but would maybe get 5-8 minutes which would ruin the champions title reign with these mediocre defences.
Back in the 80s and 90s Siskel and Ebert were essentially the Dave Meltzer’s of movies
Day 7 of asking to rank or rate every CM Punk matches in his 434 day reign as wwe champion
Minnesota is an indoor stadium so temp wouldn’t have been a problem once you got there
Honestly, I don't mind seeing even the Big 4 PPVs outside of the States.
I am so much more hyped about tanga loa than jacob fatu
I mean the frickin G.O.D in wwe is something i only dreamed of
I think what makes me upset about backlash the most is Jay not winning. He deserves singles gold and it makes me sad cause he’s not had one solo match without anybody interfering.
Day 4 of asking for tna vs wwe vs njpw vs aewdream matches or tna+wwe vs njpw+aew survivor series
I’m in the same boat with Vegas, I think the sporting events feel grandiose there and it’s perfect for the big money events, but I’m just not a fan of the city 😂
Logue 1 and Bundesliga reference in a wrestling hot takes video, wow
It just made me happy that the entertained Naomi’s entrance chat cuz them American crowds didn’t at all😭
