I miss them, but I'm also aware these cartoons can't be made today cuz of money.
These cartoons were made for theaters and had bigger budgets, back then. They were played before the actual movie would start; think the shorts before a Pixar movie. Not to mention, they didn't have the same restrictions TV networks had.
But today, theatrical shorts are too expensive to produce to profit off of, anymore (Thanks, inflation), so they don't bother with them.

I think the classic Bugs Bunny trick works largely because the brain likes patterns and has trouble when a pattern it comes to expect is suddenly disrupted. Bugs sets up his adversary, getting him locked into a pattern of some kind, then suddenly after a few go-arounds he flips the script and his opponent's brain, confused, just goes along with it, saying what's "correct" for the pattern rather than what would get the situation to turn out in his favor. There's the classic "Duck season! Rabbit season!" bit, but there's also gags like 3:06, which work even _with_ Daffy getting a little time to think because by this point he's so frustrated by his failures his only thought is "Say 'Rabbit season!' as fast as you can so Bugs can't trip you up again". Problem is, the brain is lazy and likes shortcuts and shorthand, so the thought gets simplified to "Say the opposite of what Bugs says as fast as you can" because the _pattern_ says Bugs is _supposed_ to open with "Duck season!", you see.

Daffy has the capability to use reverse psychology to outwit his opponents. But when it comes to Bug's he just can't get the upper hand because he is on a completely other level.

The one where Daffy beats the crap outta Taz is my favorite...Daffy was originally just meant to be crazy hence the name 'Daffy' but over time his character changed to be the greedy coward we all know and love from back in the day..and the fact he beat the crap outta Taz, THE scariest creature in their world...remember EVERYTHING but Bugs and Daffy run from him..Bugs and Daffy find some way to beat him or trap him even if they run away at first, the fact he beat Taz hollow for that dollar shows just how far he'll go to get rich and stay that way once he has his hands on the cash. My favorite Looney Tunes movie from back in the day is Quackbusters...a medly of Looney Tunes cartoons with a backdrop of Daffy running a 'ghost' busting thing of sorts..and everytime he screws up and is mean to his workers the ghost of the guy who left him the money starts taking the money back from beyond the grave...it literally poofs into smoke and vanishes into nothingness while the ghost laughs.
Classic Looney Tunes will always be the funniest thing on Earth. 🐇🦆

well... the Reason they showed out on Daffy Duck is because one he's black character and 2 the racism in that time was extremely at its highest so making cartoons about poor black people or other people across the globe was just their way of trying to make people laugh and be funny at the same time and hateful. when you're young you laugh at everything especially cartoons but as you got older and you watch cartoons at a adults' standpoint you start realizing that the way they directed these cartoons to be... it's really a no-brainer to dumb down.
