I know you love the banjo, but it is so nice to hear you on a guitar too!
An incredible performance. Thank you.
I love that old Epiphone. You play and sing with the sounds of a time long passed where memories are the only legal tender....
I love what you do. Thank you for sharing your light with the world.
Wonderful combination of a pretty tune, nice picking and a lovely voice.
Longtime fan of “old timey” and this is fantastic. First heard this song on an old album years ago. Thanks for keeping the flame burning for all us fans of this music!
It absolutely blows my mind that Nora, a teenager from Brooklyn, sings and plays like a grown woman from Depression era Eastern Kentucky.
She is following in the footsteps of other.musical prodigies such as Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings.
Nora, you are making Brooklyn proud!
Brooklyn, that's where she was groomed by Shlomo at age 6 🤢.
I like her music, she's cool, but knowing Shlomo has been involved makes me think twice.
What a damn shame. 😢
The fire crackling is just a great backing, like pops in old vinyl.
Beautiful. Playing by the hearth. Love your voice so much, you've been my favorite artist for awhile now. Enjoy watching your progression, and can't wait for more! Keep playing from your heart.
Love your music great song
Great song, lovely singing, covered on this side of the pond by Christy Moore 🇮🇪☘️👏
surest way to bring an old man to tears
Got this version just pinned in the browser to replay. Have had it in my head for a week! Its perfect
At a moment I closed my eyes and thought the guitars must have been two! Such a neat separation between melody and rithm...and the voice just wispering as a windy afternoon. Nora looked even more intense than usual here... thank you so much from a moved listener from overseas.
Beautiful! Great job Nora! Thanks for sharing this with us.
This is just incredible
You’re an amazing inspiration to all of us musicians out there! Keep up the great work
Brough me straight home, and I’m not even from the country. Beautiful, thanks Nora!
Love the picking. Loving the voice even more, despite being a little low on this audio (appreciate it's not a studio recording), it's been showing hints of some real special things to come :-)
Great job! You're a really good picker. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for this.
Lyrics:
Billy Gray rode into Gantry back in '83
Where he did meet young Sarah McCray
In that wild rose of morning, that pale flower dawning
Herald of springtime in their young life that day
Well Sarah, she could not see the daylight of reality
In her young eyes, Billy bore not a flaw
Oh, knowing not her chosen one was a hired gun
Wanted in Kansas City by the law
Oh, and then one day a tall man came ridin' 'cross the badlands
Lyin' to the north of New Mexico
He was overheard to say he was lookin' for Bill Gray
A ruthless man and a dangerous outlaw
Well, the deadly news came creepin' to Billy Gray, fast sleepin'
There in the Clarendon Bar and Hotel
He fled toward the old church, and there on the outskirts
Thinkin' he'd climb to that old steeple bell
Oh, but a rifle ball came flyin', face down he lay dyin'
There in the dust of the road where he fell
And Sarah, she ran to him just cursin' the lawman
Acceptin' no reason knowing he was killed
Sarah lives in that same old white frame house
Where she first met Billy some forty years ago
And that wild rose of morning, she's faded with the dawning
Of each day of sorrow the long years have sown
And written on a stone where the dusty winds have long blown
Eighteen words to a passing world say:
"True love knows no seasons, no rhymes, nor reasons
Justice is cold as the Granger County clay"
Oh, true love knows no seasons, no rhymes, nor reasons
Justice is cold as the Granger County clay
Lovely 🔥❤️

Funny looking banjo, but great song! (That's a joke)
FIRST
Can you imagine this girl after she've been made love and f up by life in a few years? I really hope I'll live enough to see the force of nature she will become
She gives me a feeling of hope for humanity. Not all young kids are making noise and tatooing them selves all over.God shes so much talent and has so much heart.I'm hoping she has a enough strength to not succumb to such cheap social nonsense.
Beautiful guitar - think you were reincarnated to be a girl in Brooklyn from where you were in your former life - deep in those Appalachian hills? Just wonderin'
be nice to see a smile once in awhile ;-)
Such a pretty voice .an a really pretty girl. Cause an old man to fall in love Again.
