Lol. Jace showed up to work in slides. Cmon man!
re 3:35 The line should be lashed to the bottom section of the center poles, or a gust could lift the top segment(s) leaving the bottom segment to topple and the upper to flail & impale.
Wood pads are nice under the poles as well so you can ratchet a tent tight without poles sinking into ground
Where can we purchase wood pads?
@@TheLifeofJenelle you cut them from 3/4 plywood. Make them 4x4 for sidepoles. And 6x6 for center poles. It’s cheap and it’s effective. I was a large festival event foreman for over 10 years. Any other tips or tricks or or questions you have, let me know. I love renting but my body just couldn’t keep up anymore.
@@justjosh8288 thank you. I am going to screen shot your instructions. I am new to renting. I just started a CZcams video to show my journey. I told myself I want to open a venue for customers to have their baby showers etc. I know the rental side will make up for any shortcomings. I would be honored to ask you questions. Your expertise is extremely valuable. I am a mother of 5 children and I pray my children will benefit from my business in the future even if they hire someone to manage it well.
The bad thing about those tents that have the poles inside in the middle of the tents and take up a lot of space
Loved the video! Very helpful! 👍🏼
Just giving away knowledge. Great video!
Thanks. I’ll keep making them if you keep watching!
Very informative!
Show how to hang the lights in a next video ?
Soon.
@@therentalguy did you do the video for hanging the lights ?
ALMOST PERFECT YOUR SET UP, DON T WORRY YOU DID RIGHT, 45 YEARS OF DOING IT, BIGGEST I EVER PUT UP SITTING 12,000 PEOPLE YOU WANT TO SEE IT 🙂
Can you do a video on how to set up lights ?
Would you consider yourself a vendor or event planner? Tried applying for a job doing what you're doing and even how the center pole is done is how I figured it was put together. Ended up not being chosen.
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏
What about high wind pressure pushing up at the tent center?
Do u have a video using Jackhammer for stakes?
Good going on the tent. I've been told if you put a half twist in the ratchet the wind won't flap the webbing as much. You tried that?
Thanks for the feedback. That’s why I make these videos (one of the reasons anyway). I haven’t tried the twist but I will definitely give it a go. I’m eager to learn and grow.
If the tent is tensioned properly no need to twist. It’s literally just proper tensioning. With pole tents you usually set the stakes the same length of the pole to give a proper hold. To close in the stakes can pull out with wind. Too far out there is pull but no hold. Like I said just proper tensioning
How long does it take you to set up?
Invest in a gas powered breaker. Professional tenter for 10 years. Wacker neussen is the best in this regard
Totally. I’m hoping to get a Thor next!
Where can I buy this one?
Wish u were in Illinois
Hello , you don't like pole tents? What brand is this tent and how much you paid for it? Thanks. From Clearwater Florida 😁
looks like an eureka, today tentology :-( MUST BE 1980 TENT, FIRE PROOF IS THE NOT TODAY S CODE FL 1401 NOT SUR ...13 ONCE
I noticed you beginning measurement was 50' x 70'. Is that what you need ?
50'x70' would be for a 40'x60' tent. Allow 10' (5' per side) extra for staking....although this tent doesn't look like a 40'x60'. More like a 20'x40'.
What model jackhammer are you using?
czcams.com/video/fZzDW08SZBw/video.html
Where did you get your ratchet straps from?
Princess auto, tent company, anywhere really. I found some handy ones I use for popups here: czcams.com/video/FEJ9vdFCnWo/video.html
What size sledge hammer do you need ?
We use 10lb 🔨.
Do you love doing what you do ?
Are you afraid you may hit a pipe when driving your stakes?
I get the clients to call 811 and get line locates done. If they don’t submit the line locate to me I don’t setup and I keep their money as per my contract.
@@therentalguy thank you. Looking to buy a 20x30 from Tents and Tables. I am going to watch this video over and over again. How much is this tent rental? I want to make sure I price it right.
You have company today I see
Yes, thanks for watching!
Are you selling this tent?
I rent tents!
Pole driver is a lot less awkward than a sledge hammer I imagine
