Here, we take our cool Palmako kit-set cabin that we constructed in last weeks episode (view here: • Amazing Modern Cabin B... ) and take the cabin build to the next level, creating decks and awnings which really help to connect the cabin to the outdoors and doing a full cabinetry fit-out on the interior.
The front deck will be such a nice place to sit and enjoy all day sun, as well as a great place to BBQ and entertain. The interior fit-out will provide a huge amount of function and storage as we add a kitchenette, shelving, build-in-wardrobes and more. I think my absolute favourite addition though has to be the rear tree-house style deck, with stunning views looking out into the forest.

P.S. I've been playing June's Journey for almost 3 years. The developer, Wooga, keeps the game and storyline interesting. There are many interesting challenges, not to mention the fun of decorating your island.
So if you need a fireplace for the winter why is the bathroom outside?? 😳👋🏼🤪
Could you brainstorm a Tiny House video on water tank and storage options, Power options solar battery, some aspects of tiny homes not often looked at or thought about. I have this idea I'd like for myself one day a means to shower but have an on demand water heater and a separate tank and filter system to collect just the water from the shower to extend the shower time rather than just let it collect in the used gray water immediately. Anyways fireproofing outside or even inside around battery area or kitchens. Could you share your review of the detachable tiny home trailer of yours and improvements, likes or dislikes of it cause I love that idea and again water storage / weight of it comes to mind for trailer based tiny homes.
Put outdoor bathroom on porch? I wouldnt want to have to walk out in the rain.

I keep turning it down as far as it will go, but I don't want to miss when you are saying something. More neutral, background music would be much better. I love how it is looking! PS No matter what your videos are about, I watch them right away each week! I live in a 6,000 square ft home because my husband loves it as we raised our five kiddos here (and some have moved in after college or during their Master's programs, etc). But I can't stop watching tiny house videos - yours being my favorite by far! I may not live in a tiny house but my heart does!

My favourite episodes are those that show how people have made their Tiny Homes from recycled items and with very little money and huge imagination and hard work xxx
Unfortunately a lot of regions (in North America at least) handmade homes aren't allowed, so showing homes like this is helpful.
Which also imbues their homes with their personal energy and gives them that homely feel....
Bryce and Rasa, I have been a huge fan of your videos for years but this new kit build feels so much more attainable for those with no building background! Please continue to share facets of tiny home build processes as well as finished tours!! And YES we must see the outdoor bathroom spa build please!! Oh such a fun fun series this has been and so happy for your parents to have this opportunity to build with you, share the memory, choose preferences and then experience all its luxury and coziness! You definitely need to do the outdoor bathroom. Going in the woods might be ok when needed but not as easy for your mom as it would be for you. Looking forward to seeing the finished interior as well as an outdoor bathroom.
Yeah. I agree. I've had conversations with my parents about it though and they insist that it's what they want. There. is space in the bedroom where we could put a chamber pot if needed so they don't have to go outside in the dark to use an outhouse. I actually had an idea to build in a pull-out composting toilet into one of the wardrobes in the bedroom, but they said they really didn't want me to do that. They are quite set on the outdoor bathroom! I'll make sure it's easy access though.

I was thinking the outdoor bathroom right on the side of the house, with a door from the cabin right into the bathroom, as well as another exterior door. Can't wait to see how they add it. An additional door from the cabin will take up some inside living/ wall space though.
Apparently they want it outside and I agree that having some way to easily access it no matter the weather and time of day is a huge piece.

I follow this channel whenever a video is posted. These 2 videos on the cabin have been awesome to watch. And yes I'd love to see a video on the outdoor bathroom project. I'm an expat Kiwi living in the UK and videos particularly on NZ tiny homes makes me homesick along with bringing back memories. I lived in NZ for 55 years. Sadly I cannot return back not even to visit. Keep up the awesome video's that you do. They're greatly appreciated!😊

Dear Bryce we would absolutely love to see the process of the bathroom. And we would also love to see more processes of tiny houses, its AMAZING!!!!!!
Hopefully it finishes with a nice big jet tub in the back, or soaker tub. Nothing more relaxing than a hot bath in the middle of nature.

YES we HAVE to see the outdoor bathroom build. These designs are a perfect way to allow adult children the chance to still live with family but have some independence if you have space on your property.

After seeing this video I realised why the structure was built so close to the edge. Way to go Bryce. You kept us viewers in suspense for a week. I also saw many comments on last video that were concerned that it was too close, but your reply soothed our worries.
The outdoor bathroom idea for this one reminds me of the one you made back in the day with Lotus tent that you made before tiny house on wheels. The swinging bridge in that one looked pretty fun. I'm waiting to see what you show in the final video of this trilogy. All the best!

If I had my own house built from scratch, I'd need a library with in-built bookshelves just for my non-fiction, then in-built bookshelves in my bedroom for my fiction, lol. This is why I probably can't have a tiny home, unless the bathroom and kitchen spaces are almost non-existent in size. But gosh, I love wood. This place is beautiful. Wood and red brick are my favourite building materials. Can't get enough of `em.

Thank you for taking us on this cabin journey with you! I think many people will enjoy seeing what you can do with a kit. I feel your pain in waiting and waiting for a contractor. That has certainly been a big part of my house project journeys. I wondered why you went with wooden slats on your deck railings instead of using black metal pipes. That would have looked cool with your black cabinets etc and they would have saved you the trouble of staining and maintenance.
