@@eagleridge1972 All good really. Caught up in property sales for the last year. I'm off everything but this platform and spend too much time in front of a screen still!
welcome back dude. what smallish knife would you say would be good for someone kayaking weekend adventures and wild camping. maybe a small fire will be lighted!
Mora Eldris with the full package, because it comes with an extra safety closure, that secures the knife. If you sharpen it, it will cut through rope or anything, like butter! Easy to use and secure knife, with a great handle that sticks to your hand like glue, sharp like a scalpel If it's too small, then please let me now, I can suggest the best for your needs, and on any budget you want.
Just as a matter of interest, would a person who is starting out "in the craft" actually by a ferro-cerium rod without buying an accompanying striker for it? I'm sure ESEE make a particularly good one? Isn't this whole obsession with "full tang" construction not taken a bit too far? After all, two (at least) massively successful companies (Cold Steel and Falkniven) produce and sell top line knives that are NOT full tang, but "through tang" construction, and they all have a huge reputation for robustness and strength.
I'm on a laptop, and I can't listen to everything you said, Maybe the mic is far from you? I have to buy a pair of speakers I guess. Please, what's your favorite knife for feathersticks making a fire etc? Is it the Rob Evans Tribute knife, a Mora maybe?
I only recently found your channel and I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos.
Hey there Mr Darren and thank you for dropping by and finding time to listen to me ramble on!
@@eagleridge1972 yw. It is my pleasure.
There's a handy tip...in both senses of the word! Hey Shane, hope you're happy and well.
Great to hear from you Ridge, I was thinking about you a few days ago. Hope you are great? Are you gone of all other platforms?
Handy tip thanks

Bad audio is a way bigger killer than bad video…..
