Yes I think your right, just taking the wire wheel off made a difference and its off balance as well. I could look into buying a better quality brush but this will do for now. Thanks for the comment 👍
I have a steel drum sander at one end and a flat disc at another end. Drum end has lots of play & does not spin stable. The table also vibrates a lot. Is the play in drum sander due to weight or viration of the grinder itself?
It turned out to be the wire wheel that caused the vibration. It had plastic spacers and is most likely caused it to be out of balance. Hope this helps 👍🏻
Yes, the vibration stopped. It was the wire wheel that caused the vibration problem. I probably could buy a better quality wire wheel but this set up will do for now. Thanks for commenting 👍🏻
Hi , the spindle is an adaptor. You can buy them separately from the bench grinder, you could have one each side . I only used one and bought a brass wire wheel to put the other side . Hope this helps.
Yes , it says on the label 10 minutes use and rest for 15 minutes. I bought it of ebay. I would love a better one but this is all I can afford for now.
@@randomprojectstube Yes, i knew it was one of those chinese junk grinders. I'm going to build a grinder myself. I'm going to buy a used washing machine motor. Many thanks for replying
It was the wire wheel that caused the problem in the end, without it, it was fine. Until I can afford a decent grinder / polisher this was all I could think of to minimise the problem. Its not ideal I know, Thank you for commenting 👌👍
I think the problem with vibrations is that both sides are not symmetrical, should be both at the same distance from the engine

Hi, you may have already watched them. There are several videos dealing with the balancing of wire wheels for the bench grinder. 👍👍👍
I haven't, thanks Pete for the tip, I will look into it. 👌

@@randomprojectstube Ok but I inquired about my grinder vibration issue and how to fix that. Thanks
Before you undid the bench grinder, did you remove both wheels and then turned it back on to see if the vibration was still there?
