That's a nice and open environment, and the 508s have regen breaking !! Wow

Yes. 507s also have regen breaking but not all units will use it

@@harrystrains3227 I see, sound amazing, not sure why the 321s 317s 320s, 322, 319s, and 318s never used this tech. Nor why they didnt have two sets of motor coaches like these units, despite being newer. Baffled me honestly. Anyway I'm also not sure why southeastern got rid of there 508s. Would have been cool to see them down where I live

@@bb-3653 It would be nice to see them use it. Also the southeastern 508s were taken out of service because they were in really bad condition. However there is one southeastern class 508 left with 2 motor coaches at an emergency training base in Birkenhead

@@harrystrains3227 hmmm their scrapped now..well most down south. And that's interesting.
The 465s met cams also have their regen brakes isolated.
And yeah I did some research in the 508s before, and you sprung my memory with that info you mentioned, they were indeed in bad condition . It's crazy how poor maintainence shortens unit lifespan. Whereas other TOCs may have the same units but in great and highly functioning conditions. I think they juar scrap them because they want to look all cool with new units sometimes. Or maybe in completely wrong :^)

@@bb-3653 well a typical lifespan of a train is 30 years. The 507/508s are in their 40s now along with the southern 313s and TFL 315s. While there still going strong they are hard to get parts for nowadays so its harder to maintain them
