    I went to Anchorage in 2016 to get a float rating on my pilots licence at Lake Hood. had a blast ' love the "Can do" attitude of the locals. A tip. there are no Bureau de change facilities anywhere in Alaska so make sure you can finance your trip before you fly..

    Alaska ???!!!! Laura, you are really on the move. Great video. Alaska is on my bucket list when hubby retires in 3 years.

      You'll love it! I'm happy we were able to go in the winter, but it makes me want to RV across the state in the summer even more!!

    Ok I think I bit off a nail or two watching y’all on that ice 🥶 Nothing like a beer or two to warm you right up (huh Courtney 😉). I’m loving following along on your adventures. Stay warm 🍻 😁

      We were holding our breath waiting to fall and kept cheering each other on every time we didn’t 😅

      I think it was around $50. With coffee and breakfast for 2. I really wanted to try the crab Benedict’s but I liked the salmon better. The full experience was great and the service was friendly and welcoming for sure!

      @@LauraOnTheMove do you think this is now a touristy thing?

      @LauraOnTheMove  Před 2 lety +1

      @@michellelogreco3351 mostly yes, but I was also there during the Iditarod so my experience might be screwed. The food and experience were both worth it though! I would recommend stopping in once while you’re there.

      This is true, but such a small scale and was the only way for indigenous people to survive in the past. I always try to be respectful of native people and their lands when I travel. I love watching white tail deer, but live in an area where others celebrate hunting them for sport and sometimes food which is hard for me to watch, but does put into perspective different cultures in different regions.
