    The LaLa Farm channel is an informational and educational - how to - DIY - channel that follows the day to day activities happening around LaLa Farm. LaLa Farm is a small, family owned farm located just south of the Florida - Georgia line in Glen Saint Mary, FL (Northeast Florida). We focus on producing small scale marketable farm products, while moving toward food self-sufficiency for our own family. We breed Registered Kiko, Boer, and Nubian goats for market and meat. We raise our own poultry for meat and eggs. We grow seasonal fruits and vegetables and maintain a colony of bees for honey and pollination of our plants. The goal of our CZcams channel is to educate and share with our customers, followers, and anyone else interested in the homesteading or small farm lifestyle - our approach to managing the little slice of paradise we call LaLa Farm. Our channel, just like the farm, is truly a family endeavor. On any given week, you may see videos from any number of our family members depending upon the topic being discussed. Each of our family members has unique interests and skills that they bring to our farm. We would love to have you join us - the Robinson family - on our self-sufficiency and homesteading journey by subscribing to our channel.

    OUR JOURNEY TO THE HOMESTEAD:
    LaLa and I (Rick) grew up in a small agricultural region of New York State. LaLa was raised in a dairy farming family and I grew up in a small town. LaLa and I were high school sweethearts, who married in our late teens - and have now been married for over 30 years. We moved to Jacksonville, FL in the mid 1980’s, after being stationed there while serving in the U.S. Navy as an Interior Communications Electrician (I fixed phones). The plan was for LaLa to be a stay at home mom. In the early 90’s I was injured while serving on active duty and I was abruptly discharged from military service. By this time, we had two young children, and it never seemed like there was enough time in the day. LaLa went to work - I went to college - and we somehow found enough time for each other and our family. We always dreamed of having a small farm to raise our kids and our own food. For nearly 20 years, we lived in the city and watched as the city encroached in upon us and grew up around us. In the early 2000’s we moved from Jacksonville, FL to an adjacent and more rural area of Baker County, FL. We eventually found the perfect piece of land to realize our dream of owning our own farm, and in 2015, this dream became a reality - a reality that is today - The LaLa Farm.

    Great overview of those machines, brother. I am thinking about buying a bigger lawn tractor too and this info definitely helps.
    Take care and stay safe,

    Good video! Do yall use the mahindra for any bush hog work?

    • @TheLaLaFarm
      @TheLaLaFarm  Před 4 lety

      We use the Mahindra for all the heavy mowing where we dont really care about how it looks. Our PTO brush cutter will take out a 2-3" tree or brush with no problem at all. Once we go over it with the bush hog - we fire up the Kubota zero turn and finish it down essentially to mulch. We also use the Kubota for grass when its really high. We use the Hustler only for regular maintenance of the grass. Thanks for watching.

    Hello, Did you think about trying Tweels tires? I am thinking of getting a Hustler 60 inch hyperdrive with mulch kit.37 hp. Mike

    Questions. After getting a flat, why didn't you get flat free tires?? Also, why didnt you get flexforks too? And why not, spending $12G+ , you didn't get EFI??

    • @TheLaLaFarm
      @TheLaLaFarm  Před 3 lety

      It would be nice to get flat free tires, I will say that. The main reason we got this mower is because of the simplicity of it. I can work on this mower and was confident in myself with this model. For no other reason. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching and giving input.

    Should have went with the vanguard engine . You get a lot more life out of the engine . Kawasaki engine 2400 hours before it gives . I have 4000 hours on my vanguard 36 hp.

      I have seen the same thing out of Kawasaki. As long as you didn't get a lemon, you take care of and it lasts.
