  • Heading our way back into the capital, from a Euro 4 to Euro 6 Enviro400 now to an electric, and a newish one at that, with a Metroline WDE.
WDE2786 comprises a new order of 35 Wright StreetDeck Electroliners ordered by Metroline for their Edgware (EW) garage specifically for routes 113 & 240, with the occasional appearance on the 142 with their BYD/ADL Electric E400MMC counterparts.
Our journey sees on route 204 which runs from Edgware Bus Station to Sudbury Town Station via Burnt Oak, Graeme Park, Colindale, Roe Green, Kingsbury, Preston Road & Wembley Central. The route dates from 1990 as a replacement for the withdrawn section of route 226, and for all of it's life has been run by Metroline, and has run mostly from Edgware, but did run at some points at North Wembley (NW) from 1993 to 2002, and from Alperton (ON) from 2018 to 2021.
WDE2786 is powered driven through 60Ah VDA PHEV2 electric battery system, and I have no further information on transmission or gearbox, as an electric bus has not one.
    Start: Colindale, Colindeep Lane
    Finish: Preston Road Station
