gonna make me start buying parts for the swap! keep up the work man. cool seeing this happen.
3 years ago damn crazy but this video was mad detailed you explained everything perfectly thank you
excellent detailed video even tho i couldn't afford to do the high cost of the swap. excellent video!
Thanks man I needed this I'm building am lsa for my 81 firebird swap
awesome to see it coming together! im hoping to either start putting together my parts list later this year/early next year as im going to be doing an lsa kit on my 04 YJ. cant wait to see it once its done! keep up the good work
T-Rex Motovlogs thanks!!! Yeah it's been a process for sure, so excited to feel the new power.
Trey Herrera hell yeah! I hear you there! The more i get done on mine the more im like now we are getting into more power 😂
Texas speed and performance makes a lot of good products used them for years and still do. I really like motion cams also and Brian Tooley cams has that nice choppy sound to them. that's my pick for off the shelf cams but most of my builds I call and have a custom cams made tailored to the build. I also try and not to get wrap up in cams anyway.
Very informative thanks bro
I have a 99 z28 with the ls1 with the 799 all I will need is the head adapter you got and the rest of the stuff to swap over to lsa supercharge it
Nice video man!
This has been the biggest help since I'm a few steps behind you on my lsa conversion, if possible a video on the coolant pump wiring would be awesome, looking forward to more videos
Bryan Hodges I finished the build already, wire in the pump off of the fuel pump relay and then make sure you get a good ground. It needs to run anytime your driving.
Trey Herrera thanks for the speedy reply, how was hood fitment with the cts-v lid? I have a zl1 lid but I'm thinking I will have to go the cts-v route
Bryan Hodges hood fitment sucks haha 3/8 motor mounts would of helped me a bunch. I'll be doing a vid on this soon
Go head bruh...! Gotta 98 z I been wanting too SC... Dont know if Cali. Smog is haven it...? Vicariously liven the dream...!
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trey, whenever you do the hood triming do your best to go in detail for that please. Looking into lsa for me too
Aurelio Enriquez def get 3/8" lowering motor mounts the fitment is terrible I got it to work but it's a extremely tight fit.
Hey man, what’s the overall height from the valley cover to the top of the lid, including the head adapters? I’ve been thinking about this upgrade on my 5.7 with either 241 or 243 heads
Trey, where did you purchase the bolts from?
Your the man bud that thing is going to be a beast. So all the parts you listed can it work the same on ls1
AJ Tindall yes they will with a ls1 set up, I recently got it running! Car is awesome
Trey Herrera yea bro I see you got it up and running, moves like a beast. I’m just really skeptical about getting it cause I’m thinking it won’t fit my ls1 camaro and I’m literally lost on what to get for the lsa until I saw your great video, now I’m start collecting pieces by pieces. I saw that u didn’t do a reservoir is that optional? And any dyno run
AJ Tindall I just did a filler cap, so you can see when the fluid is moving through the system. Dyno is scheduled just haven’t done it yet
Did you gap your rings for boost? Any exhaust work?
What harmonic balancer did you use
What kind of harness (CPU) did you use?
I understand you can't use the existing LS3 or L99 harness for an LSA supercharged?
Thanks!
What size is the intercooler hose
Trey Herrera this is the stock 6.0 ls2 right
What did you do for the brake vacuum line? Did you ever dyno the turbo setup? Just curious on power differences? I am already committed to LSA. Shooting for 850-860 rear wheel. Looking at 16 Lbs of boost. I wrote before, I forget what it was about but you never answered.
Very informative video. Not sure if this questions been asked yet. But will this set up work on a 2000 trans am? I’m not sure the differences between gto and t/A but far as I know they are basically the same.
Edward D should be the same as a ls1 Gto
What pulley setup did you use
what forum did you get your info? looking to lsa swap my 05 gto in the future. just looking for more info to read up on. nd nice vid!
Daniel Rosas on the forums isn't to much info hints why I started making the videos. I did talk to a hand full of people who have done the swap a long with my tuner
What is that brake booster hose from?
👍🏽
Do you still have the cam you swapped out ? How about the bumper grills ? Would you like to sell those parts ?
Trey what’s cam spec you have on with LSA & where did you buy it from? Thanks bruh
andre hafrian it’s a tsp 228r, most people use a btr cam pds cam for best results. I got mine from Texas speed
Where can i buy 1
What forum did you get the blower from, ls1 tech, CTS -v I’m hunting a gto myself and am also in Denver been looking at the boost district kit which all in is 3800 before tax accessories injectors pumps heat exchanger and pump in all
Matt Moran I bought it from zzperformance for $650 then pieced the rest together.
What up man, nice videos on the gto! Can you send me that link to what positive displacement cam you use to get you to the 636 hp.
I'm doing a Ls swap on my dad's 79 Trans am. He passed away and I took over. I'm alsoing doing a lsa supercharger all I need is the cam and buy the heat exchanger. Pretty close to finish working on it. Need to start driving it already
im actually on a smaller na cam with a real good tune honestly. Sorry to hear about your dad! I have heard good things about the btr pds 3 cam hope that helps!
I'm doing all this for him! Yea it's tough but we must keep on living. Thanks ill look into it. I'm just a 23 year old college dude from Los Angeles doing it all with my financial aid funds! I also landed on the 2500 budget, thanks to you! Thank you for your time!
Since your the pro Should I use this one :: BTR LSA STAGE 3 CAMSHAFT P.D.S POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT SUPERCHARGED CAM LJMS $416.99 ??
--OR-- this one ::: BTR Stage 3 Turbo Cam 230/235 .609"/.610" 114+4 LSX LS1 LS2 LQ4 LQ9 5.3 6.0 5.7 $399.95 ??
--OR-- This One :: BTR POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT STAGE 3 TORQUE CAMSHAFT FROM CAM MOTION LS LSX

I'm using 317 heads with a 6.0 ls engine
I'm aiming for 550-700 hp..
Hey man where did you pick up the heat exchanger pump at? And what did you use to mount it up
Michael Rogers eBay and the pump came with mounting hardware
SUGGESTIONS FOR THROTTLE BODY ANYONE?
Can I please get size and offset on this wheels trey? So hard finding the right size and offset for gtos
putamadre567 yes in the process of making a video on that
What mods do you have done prior to the super charger. Cam Springs, push rods, exhaust?
Rscmgw23 Cai, lt headers, x pipe/cat back, cam springs retainers push rods tune
Trey Herrera... sounds sick, nice build going so far. I just ordered my dod delete for my g8. Debating doing a Lsa or procharger over the winter.
Rscmgw23 thanks man, lsa can be had for a lot cheaper then a procharger but prochargers are much easier to fit in the engine bay and look sick. Either way it will be sick Good luck man!
Trey guide me in the right direction to at least get the blower maybe a contact number or anything I hve a 6.2 with 823 heads I'm going with
John boston 1974 go on eBay, o just seen they had a few on there right now
John boston 1974 or you can buy a kit from boostdistrict.com
Trey Herrera ok trey thanks buddy
The 300c will work for 76mm turbo build? 650-700hp?
isaac herrera depends on fuel injectors and the flow rate. Forum say they are using good till 700-750 I believe
Did you use stock bucket with the dw300c pump? or drill bucket or use 8.1bucket?
Hey Can Trey or someone please tell me what computer i need to run my LSA supercharger with the LY6 engine i have? Thanks in advance
elgallorojo a mac
Do u have to change out the under drive pulley because I know the LSA are 8 rib.
No the kit is to keep the factory 6 rib setup
@@TreyHerrera all the pulley setups I see from like griptek gto off set is a 8 rib. So pretty much all I need is a idler pulley and and a tensioner then. Thanks for response.
Did you do anything with the lowers of the engine?
Wil Golnick Hinson 3/8 mounts. This video is old too lol
Hey man, where did you buy your kit from? I'm going to do the same and I am in a toss up between boost districts kit or a very reputable guy on Facebook that has a kit.
nhull85 i didn't buy a kit. I pieced everything together myself, far cheaper then the kits available
Oh that's cool too. Do you mind saying what you ended up spending after piecing everything together? Just curious to see if it's worth it for me to do that.
nhull85 just south of $2800 including shipping
Oh okay that's good then. The kit I was looking at is about 4k with everything included then I'd have to tune it. So you definitely saved some haha, keep up the good work man. I'm gonna subscribe just so I can keep tabs on this build!
Hey bro I seen alot of ur videos I was doing a swap on a 2009 Pontiac g8 base im done with it I'm not a professional mechanic so I only got it to work and run I did a 5.3 with a 4l60 but I now lost interest in it I have a new project in mind I was wondering if u may me interested in the car? I'm not asking to much as it is still a project let me know my name it's Sam thanks
Are you in Colorado?
Are your engine internals all forged? Or you still running stock cast parts? Heard you say stock bottom end, does that make you nervous? Haha
Eric still stock bottom and no issues what so ever, been supercharged now for 10 months mostly daily driven as well.
Trey Herrera did you have any of the motor inspected before boosting? Cylinder walls, rods, pistons, etc. Curious what route I should take my 02 Trans Am LS1 since I’m not sure an LSA blower would fit. Might have to Procharge or just H/C/I
Eric yeah when I did the cam I checked everything out. Car has 70k on it. Gen 3-4 motors handle boost pretty well so no worries here haha.
What fuel injectors did you go with? I’m still doing the gathering game.
Im on factory lsa injectors, I'm going bigger soon though
Trey Herrera thanks looking forward to more content loved your last video, I always wanted to ride BMX never had anywhere to ride around here, now I’m just to darn old LOL
Are you in fact in Colorado..? Lets get together... I moved here last yr and have 2006 Grey Metalic.. I want to get the LSA setup on mine.. I only have 40k miles
Mitch Shanley yeah I live here haha and yeah that will be cool to meet another goat owner
Hey Trey what fuel injectors did you go with??
Hugo urbina just the factory lsa injectors
what parts did you use to hook up the fuel line to the lsa fuel rail since the gto's is on the opposite side
Hugo urbina I made the lines with an 6 fittings
HI Trey,
Where did you buy the heat exchanger?
Buddyrebel frozenboost.com
to piggy off this what model H/E and fittings part numbers did you use ?thanks!
Hugo urbina www.frozenboost.com/water-to-air-heat-exchanger/air-to-water-heat-exchanger-p-1026.html
thanks man my lsa is showing up tomorrow!
Hugo urbina sick your gonna love it!
What did you use to extend the fuel line to the fuel rail?
You make a connector using an fittings
Trey Herrera I don't think fittings will work for over 2 ft lol. You should get a e-85 flex fuel composition sensor and go e-85
About20ninj45 I already got the car running, the fittings work just fine. Check out my other videos
can i install this on ls1 ????
will the stock 4L60E handle it
BLooD 4 GeeK I doubt your auto will last lol motor will be fine!!
@@TreyHerrera thanks dood
whats the total cost to go lsa?
Ryan S so far I'm right around $2500 +\- the forums are your best bet for keeping cost down.
thats cheap AF
What was the cam you went with
CinemaQuad I had a tsp 228r in there I haven’t changed it yet
10-4 getting so close to pulling the trigger on LSA blower i also have a fresh 408 iron block setting in my shop that will most likely be going in.
CinemaQuad you will make great power on a 408! Do it you won’t regret it
Where did you get the brake boost line? Do you have a part number?
Are u on a stock bottom end ?
sevin3105 yep
Another question i know you have a 6.0 I’m really interested in a GTO and installing a LSA supercharger on it but i been having bad luck with finding a 05-06 all I’ve seen is the 04’s with the 5.7 i wanted to know if the LSA would fit on the ls1’s also i might just go with the 5.7 since there cheap n easy to find
Pretty sure the LSA Blower runs dry. No supercharger oil needed.
sanosuke2999 incorrect you fill the oil in the rear of the supercharger.
Thanks for the info. Saw a few LSA porting videos and heard them say it doesn't use oil which I found strange. Thanks for straitening that out Trey!
sanosuke2999 yeah it usually doesn’t have to be changed for 100k miles. That prob why they would say that
and the cost to supercharge is why people turbo. cheaper.
Ill send you an email
