- Hello Classics,
This video is a demonstration of how i made liquid soap with NaOH... i.e caustic soda...
I think i had tried this in the past, and i cant remember if i succeeded or not... But by having it documented... I'd be happy if I could pull it off...
I watched this from a channel @ChemicalConcoctionsSoapLab
and I'm sure that's where i got the inspiration to make it initially...
I used mostly soft oils:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100.5g
Canola Oil 150.5g
Sunflower Oil 151g
Palmkernel Oil 52g
Lye 60.6g
Water 170.7g
(I used 180g of Water)
I got a very soft paste and added Ethanol during dilution...
I got a nice liquid and hope it stays that way...
Thank you all for watching...
God bless.
Hi
Making soap is so much fun ☺.
Kudos to you 👏
Yes it is...
i just uploaded another used oil cooking video... though i used palm oil not palmkernel oil.
Also infused the used oil with orange peels and the water used to make the lye
Thanks for watching...
@@mariamclassicessentialsplu5994 yea, I saw it.
Just stumbled on your video and I must say I'm impressed.
How do you source your palm oil for soap cuz its it's kinda expensive here in Abuja and it's made me pause on soap making
i just buy from major suppliers in half or full drum...
And yes... palm oil is expensive now...
Twas very cheap whne i started...
thanks for watching and supporting my channel
Thanks ma, pls what's the work of the ethanol ma
The Ethanol helps to keep it fluid. its been almost a year and it still fluid,
@@mariamclassicessentialsplu5994thanks ma. Pls what percentage usage rate of ethanol did you use
Hi, did it stay liquid long term?
yes... it's still liquid, even now... by June twill be 1year old
i only noticed a tiny bit thicker consistency but every other thing is still same...
thanks for watching...
