Thanks for parking on the drive, next to the massive hole and having a chat, was good fun.

Legend Furze
We need a Scrapheap Challenge reboot with Colin
Really enjoyed this guys!
Colin Furze's job is, being Colin Furze.
You're fantastically overqualified for it, if I'm honest.
Applications for the roll, should it become vacant go to, PO Box, Pfffft
Colin's dad never let him in his shed, so Colin let's us all into his shed
Because Colin's dad had porn his shed

Another 1980 child. Building huts and blowing things up in gravel pits was basically par for the coarse and at 44 digging a tunnel to a bunker is secretly what we all want to do.
Love Colins attitude of just trying out stuff, that's what makes his channel so engaging, all feels genuine.
He was born at the end of ‘79, so he just rounds it up to ‘80 lol.
His poor wife though... I mean imagine trying to parent the Colin-ness out of his children so they don't get thrown out of school.
@@dizzydownthegirldid Colin ever mention being a 1980 child ?
@@chrishart8548 At the beginning he said he was 25 in 2005
@@shiftymiata I'm the same born January 1980
You've got to have huge respect for Colin. He seems super nice and down to earth.
Very down to Earth. What with the tunnelling and all.
People like colin are becoming increasingly rare
We need a BMX contest between Colin and Mat Armstrong! 😅😉
I think Liam would win though 😂
Two different disciplines flat land and ramps
I was thinking exactly the same, the cross over episode we all need to see is Furze and Mat on bmx
😂
Don't make any sense to do a contest between flatland and dirt/street (I'm not sure which one Matt did) I did flatland myself and possible won't be able to do a simple drop in a halfpipe or just a simple grind on a handrail 🤣
Hearing the "Lathe in my bedroom" makes me feel better about the 4' x 8' CNC machine I'm building in my basement. lol
That sounds cool 😎
As someone who does an awful lot of CNC work, having a CNC in a basement sounds like a massive pain in the arse 😂 not just the machine but getting sheets of ply down there!
@@kraftypk7283 lol trust me, I wish I had a better place for it right now. Someday I’ll find a new home for it though. I plan on building a workshop and move all my tools there. I’m documenting the build on my CZcams channel. It’s been a massive learning experience so far.
I just finished a 4'x4' CNC in my basement, 💯 worth it
I've been watching his videos for at least ten years. He is more entertaining than about anyone else on the planet.
By now, I've seen him succeed at building so many weird projects that I don't get as concerned as I used to. I would yell at my computer, "That piece of steel isn't big enough to take that load, Colin! You're going to hurt yourself." I'm no more of an engineer than Colin is, so I have no right to think I'm smarter than he is. But guys often think they are smarter than they are. At this point in time, he certainly has far more experience making things, especially strange things, than I have, or ever will have. He is a treasure, and I really hope that he maintains his safety record and never gets hurt.
Finally, the best interview of Colin so far. Well done, well done......
Thanks Len! Means a lot to take the time to leave a nice comment :)
Colin is from the era where building, making and bodging weird and wonderful shit that went Zoom, thwap or boom was a part of childhood and I love that his work is captured for todays young adults to marvel at and be inspired because a mind is a terrible thing to waste :-)
If it wasn’t for Colin we wouldn’t have a skatepark in Stamford. I remember the competition we did with Disney XD years back to raise funds. He’s the proper Stamford Cowboy
I've been planning an England trip for years and would love to make Stamford a part of it.
Dirty Sanchez was the welsh lads witch also ended up been the pain men on balls of steel
That was it, I could picture it but not the name.
Yea I remember em Pancho, Dainton, Pritchard and the cockney Dan I think he was called. Balls of steel was great as well
Dirty sanchez was horrific 😅
I'd completely forgotten about the Welsh _Jackass_ . Wasn't there a similar show with a bunch of Scottish lads too?
"There's only one way to find out Mark" 🤣
Can we all take a moment to appreciate Ben who brings us these interviews that we are dying to watch, thank you Ben for hosting these and to Colin who is an amazing lad! Great to hear this interview.
And that he parked next to a massive hole.
1:03:12 Colin's absolutely correct. Taking the piss out of workmates , is a lost art....😂
This is the interview we've all been waiting for!
No it isn't. The interviewer is a prat.
@@samuelgarrod8327 takes one to know one🤷♂️
i love the fact colin invents things to solve problems no one has !!!! there is i fine line between genius and insanity and its nice to see that colin is at home on both sides of it , thats what makes his content so interesting
That comment about trading in... upgrading the girlfriend was low key hilarious 😂
I had a quarry near me that I played in when I was a kid. It really is the best playground you could wish for.
LOVE it! Fantastic idea interviewing Colin and the like. We never really get these in depth back stories with CZcamsrs. I really appreciate it. Thanks
Had to laugh when you described the Alexa flame thrower and my own Alexa answered 😂
It's been an honor watch Colin invent stuff and do daring experiments. He is to England, what Hacksmith is to Ontario. I think Colin would make a great Quartermaster in 007 movies. So I'd make his title as a youtuber, The Qsmith!
The mining company shirts propelled the project into Disney level.
When the entertainment is so top shelf that a theme can form around it.....That is something special for the fans.
Colin was the first channel I actually followed on CZcams
The energy and enthusiasm of this guy needs to be bottled and given to our future generations. The guy is such an inspiration to invent, build and have fun.
I think its called adhd xD
Colin's sponsored bits are genius. Sometimes I think it must take as much work to make the sponsored bit as the whole rest of the video.
My Alexa just replied "I'm not sure about that" to the flame thrower.
Didn't even know I wanted this interview but I did. Again thank Ben
Your welcome :)
Colin demonstrates this wisdom so well. "Faster alone, further together"
The reason I have a CZcams channel is because of Colin. In one of his videos he mentioned that he was a plumber. About a year later, he said:”I used to be a plumber, now I make CZcams videos.” That was the day I breathed my channel!
Loved this interview, who does not love Colin!
With his personality he would be a sucess at absolutely any chosen career.
So glad we get to enjoy him on CZcams.
Loved watching this - I’ve followed Colin from the beginning. Seeing the media landscape grow and allow people like this to do stuff like this is brilliant. Great chat 👏👏
Watching from the US in the Midwest. Colin is without a doubt the most fun channel to watch on CZcams.
We all have Colin Furzes in our lives as we grow up. You know that one wild kid who would take any dare like jumping off the cliff with a home made parachute. Since I'm really old and grew up in the 60's and 70's, we had far too many of them dying from drug abuse because they were never too scared to try anything! Shame how many of them would be Colin Furze contemporaries nowadays !
Very good interview with great structure.
Really refreshing to see an interview where the guest actually can get time to answer the questions. 👏
At this stage Colin could put out a video on crocheting drinks coasters and we would watch
I think he should try this for research purposes
Only a few CZcamsrs I follow faithfully.
Collin Furze, and the King of Random are my most favorite as Collin seems so genuine and in touch with his inner child curiosity. He does what others say can't be done.
Love ya Collin keep the fun coming.
Colin with a lathe in his bedroom is really a Furze kind of thing which we all love.😀
Met Colin a couple of time (signed a book and also gave him a VCR for the DeLorean) and this is a really interesting and frank interview, great watching and learning more :-) Thanks
Again thank you so much for the VCR, please email me again as i took a picture of me with it in the car but couldn't find your email to send it to.
Just sent you one with the subject “DMC 12 and VCR” as I suspect the inbox is always full :-)
@@colinfurze Tell me please, do you fundamentally not want to wear protective equipment (at least a helmet and glasses) or are you risking it for the sake of filming?
I remember all of the early days of YT and hearing all this I realise how long this is all gone and I feel old LOL YT is alomst 20 years online now CRAZY!
Its genuinely mad
2009 /2010 was like the golden age of early CZcams
What an awesome interview / chat, Colin is such an interesting and extremley clever guy, I have loved watching this. Colin Furze ought to stand for prime minister ! His attitude is just brilliant.
That Bunker was one hell! Of a build👍👍
The age of us being forced to be only one thing - to knock our pipes out for 50 years in a single, boring job - is over. We can be many things now and it can work really well. What a time to be alive!
Colin would be the perfect person for a new season of Scrap heap challenge, the guys incredible❤
Absolutely loved this. I dont usually watch podcasts but made an exception for this. Great questions and enjoyable to watch!!!
well done gents. I really enjoyed the whole discussion. it reminded me of when I was a kid, building all kinds of crazy stuff. I grew up on a farm. I found an old block building in the woods once that had mostly fallen down. I decided to build a forge; so I stacked the concrete blocks up in a mass with a fire box section; put down a piece of metal roofing for the heat are on top with a ring of blocks holding it down. I filled the top cavity on top of this metal sheet with rocks. I tried to use it; it failed miserably 😀 it was a wonder I didn't burn down the woods.
I thought the fisherman vs. car video was your best one yet, it was brilliant. Just cause it didn't click this time don't give up on the wild ideas as one might suddenly take
The reason why I can't be truly open with my kids is because I'm forbidden from setting bad examples for them.
1 of the best blokes on the Internet by far. Been watching Colin for years and years now I'd love to sit down and have a pint or 2 with Colin and guy martin. What a great way to spend a day that would be!
Both wall of death experts, they don't live far from each other either.
@@chriscoulthard4947 grimsby and Stamford are pretty far away from each other lol
yeah the 360 swing REALLY scared me too. And I was just behind the screen. Imagine being at the construction site watching it all happening.
Really enjoyed finding out what makes the man that has brought hours of fun and laughs to youtube. Genuine bloke right there.
41:46 thanks for figuring out the way to do it to get us to watch both videos because it’s awesome that way
The Outrageous Acts of Science TV show is where I first saw Colin Furze and have been subscribed ever since!
Does anyone else really miss gadget geeks - i cant find some of the episodes anymore and i think they were deleted. It was so iconic with the combo of colin and tom! (Gotta love charles too)
My dad was from South Cheam. I’m 60 now and it was born and raised in New York live with my parents pretty normal middle-class life. But as an Englishman to me in my teen years and older, I had exactly the same kind of parallel life to my dad. We were two different people and he didn’t 100% understand who I was, because he was righteously and productively focused on his own pursuits. And that way, he was a great example for me as an adult.
I honestly appreciate these interviews, you're spot on with your guests
Great interview with Colin, some burning questions answered, such as does he live in the house. I think the bit that was nailed on the head was Colins explination of TV shows hiring people because of what they are/do and then trying to fit them to their TV mold. Reminds me of Waynes World when they moved them from basement show to TV studio but its why CZcams works and TV does not for the same format.
When I hear Colin talk about which years things happened, it scares me that I’ve “known” him longer than many of my friends! 😁
Keep up the good work, you go where the rest of us fear to tread.
Enjoyed Colin's creations from the beginning. Back in the early days whenever a new video appeared on his channel You knew it would be a few minutes of creativity and great fun. People like Colin are what made CZcams so good.
What a legend, love Colin and been watching him for years.
41:02 This sounds a lot like what happened when MasterMilo (Colin knows the channel) started a second channel. The second channel now gets much more views and attracts more sponsors and collabs and has in fact become the main channel, where as the actual main channel has become the season review channel like Colin calls it.
Colin is a very likeable guy, I know him a bit better now, thank you for setting this up!
First Colin Furze video I ever saw was him building a shed.
That's something I was considering myself.
Then at the end of the video.
He mentioned the hatch for the bunker!!!!!
Then I was intrigued!!!!!
And as for the fireworks videos!!!!!!
Now my kids watch all of them!!!!
I honestly watch both of the videos for tunnels then rewatch them with the family
This was terrific, loved Colin's stuff for well over 10 years.
The Ferris wheel sticks out as a favorite. I would have the chickens scared out of me to try and go round on that. tHanks for all the great videos!
Great job on the interview, tHanks
I found Colin when he was first started out doing the bunker videos. Have been hooked every since. Especially for the bunker stuff. :)
I remember when "Total Destruction of a Fiat Uno" was released by Colin; been subbed ever since.
Awesome - just watched the Colin Furze Fast fast Food caravan video with sudden stop - Colin smashes through front of the caravan. Fabulous madness
Great interview, actually really awesome to hear the man and his challenges, you know, you don't really get to see that, but it's nice you know? And Colin, sir, don't worry man, I watch your secondary AND your main channel equally alike.
Colin Furze has always been my favorite CZcamsr. The way id describe him is the best guy to be around during an apocalypse 😂
Fantastic interview, with a fantastic CZcamsr. Thank you!
I've been watching Colin for about 6 years,I have shown my kids who love the cool stuff he does, watch everything he does, just a great bloke who does cool stuff, keep it up Colin will always watch your video's and thank you for all the cool stuff
Best statement ever "Thai food, is like Indian food chucked in the bath - bit watery" 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Totally forgot about the CKY skateboard video(that evolved to Jackass), what a flashback!. Now I need to go watch it again. :)
Great interview, really liked how forthcoming Colin was. Really nice peek behind the curtain if you will.
I could watch Colin talk all day long, what a top genuine guy. 👌
the welsh guys were called 'dirty sanchez'
man they were funny!
the caravan vid Colin mentions is absolute gold! i remember seeing that way back when and years later it's still hilarious!
Colin Furze to be the new scrap heap challenge host🤞🏻
Maker of the automatic cake feeder. Legendary.
Mobility scooter , wall of death and now , what a genius
I started watching furze Bach during fast food and towing. Many years of love for his videos
lovely chat with Colin, seems like such a genuine bloke, been following him for years and is one of the few compulsive viewing channels that i check out.
aaaah CKY that brings back memories... Colin was talking about Dirty Sanchez. crazy time for reality TV lol.
Colins dad sounds a lot like my own, we should have had a lot in common in theory, but just never quite got along, he passed away last year and it was always an odd relationship. now that hes gone I've found so many things that we really should have bonded over but never did because he didnt want to share things, a shame, but thats how it is.
Colin is literally one of the last 90's kids that would mess about and experiement with stuff! it was fun, no intetnet, no mobiles with cameras. Better times.
The sad part of this is. When ever he explains something cool, fun and exciting… he always says “ well, you wouldn’t get away with that nowadays” I’m glad i was born in 1992. I’ve had my fun and freedom.
Communism kills dreams.
"What was your first arrest?"
"Oh, some kid who'd nicked a Fiesta"
"Drunk bloke punched me on a Saturday night"
"A BMXing plumber had built a flame-throwing scooter. I had to ask him if he had a licence for it."
Colin is awesome, his skills are amazing and even out here in the USA, we love him!
Thanks for having him on!!
Imagine being in a school with Colin as your teacher.
I remember the caravan and bakebeans video 😂😂😂, the pranks you did round town.
Whilst Colin doesn't seem down about it, I find it sad that he was a passionate and talented young boy who would have loved to work along side his father.
Good on Ya!! Thx for your time w/ Mr Furze🙏🏼
This is great. Feel like me and Colin are brothers lol. I dont even want to talk about the sketch "inventions" we made. What a great interview. Now Iv made medical tools and implants, do some aerospace stuff for the largest companies lol... but it all started in the shed that had a well and 220v for welding haha
Fantastic interview, cheers!
Thanks for tuning in!
Colin really strikes me as just a(somewhat) normal bloke, would love to see some of his old BMX stuff
"You Tuber, problem solver extraordinaire, and proper maniac" It sounds a bit much, but kind of covers it for an intro for Colin.
Now all I want is a spinoff of Jackass featuring Colin Furze creating inventions for the lads to test and get very hurt, that would be a right laugh
the bloke he worked as a kitchen fitter for is now an artist, I work with the guy for a while he had a few stories about colin lol
Furze needs to be protected at all costs
Can’t beat an underground Den as a kid 🤙🏻
If James Bond needed a new “Q”, I vote for Colin.
Why did Colin's mic go mute around 38:35? He mentions being interested in SpaceX and then says like 3 - 5 words that are cut, it seems. Is it like a Musk thing trying to avoid the algorithm picking it up?
