Full Route Visual | London Bus Route 263 - Barnet Hospital to Highbury Barn | (VMH2538) LF68PXP

- Hello Everyone, The 263 is such an amazing route that is operated by Metroline Travel from Potters Bar [PB] Garage using Gemini 3 B5LH's, but I got a MCV Evoseti. This great route goes from Barnet Hospital, High Barnet, New Barnet, Whetstone, North Finchley, Finchley, East Finchley, Highgate, Archway, Holloway, Highbury & Islington and then Highbury Barn.
The route is a nice one that predominately runs along the A1000 & the A1. It helps to connect passengers travelling along the straight road. The roads within the Barnet section of the route are so wide lol. I missed a Gemini 3 by 1 minute which I was annoyed about. But to be fair, I was glad about missing that because VMH's appear less on the route than VWH's. It is like a 2:11 ratio so yeah! I decided to film at 0.5x because of the annoying rain, which I apologise about - (but the visual should be watchable). I also do know that @lxaggy wanted me to film ultra wide on some visuals as well so yh. Anyways, the driver left 2 minutes early; she was good at driving, but the bus got quite busy (not packed) - but there was traffic. The good thing was that we didn't curtail because I felt like we were going to. The reason was because I may have heard the blinds roll at Holloway.
However, TFL decided to damage and mess with this route in February 2023. It was rerouted to run via Highgate Village instead of Archway Road, which replaced the section of withdrawn route 271, with the former routing being replaced by route 234 which serves zero purpose in Archway as @londonbuses1844 even states how useless the 234 is in Archway, when you can literally take the 41 anyways. The 263 was given Gemini 3 B5LH's at the same time from route 91, which was sad because I miss the Enviro400's on this route. Also, TFL decided to re-introduce a night service for the 271 called the N271 that runs from North Finchley to Moorgate, Finsbury Square. People do argue that it should just be called the N263 which I agree because if TFL wanted to re-route the 263 and make it follow the night service of former route 271, then why are they calling it "N271". The route needs an express service of some sort lol because it would help people travelling up and down the route (From Barnet Hospital to Angel), but it is unlikely since the route pretty much follows the Northern Line throughout, and the demand may not be there lol.

Nice one this my local ant going to lie they should have extended 271 to high Barnet, taking a different route from the 263 after North Finchley because if you think about it 271 was actually short bus route

I wonder if 263 can borrow more VMHs from 4/30/274 at Holloway [HT] and fully convert the 4 to VWH so the remaining evosetis can go on 263 and 263's VWHs can go on 4
The 4 can't convert back to full VWH because those VWHs currently at HT have been confirmed to be going to the 237.The 4 will convert to electrics upon tender renewal so the 263 can receive VMHs then

I think they may use those Evoseti's to replace the 10 & 60 plate B9TL's overall. So they might move to AH instead...
@@WesternTravels20244 is getting VMHs from 113 when that fully converts to electroliners then the VWHs from 4 will go to 237. Then later will get electrics hopefully electroliners.
