That coach is alright. Mine came out of the snow belt. I had mine over a pit. Gave the frame a coat of rust converter. Next is a sealer. Did all my bags when I got the coach. Week on my back and as* busting work. I have priced the wheel lifts. Spoiled is right lol. Air dryer is out back in a box waiting to go on.
I would love a wheel lift for my 450 Lxi. My bus was a Texas coach and then Charleston SC. What prices were you quoted? I suspect 5K or more per tower.
My Monaco (PDQ 40) was built on a Roadmaster Chassi with 8 Airbags, No tag and drives like a sportscar, super stable. I wish I had access to a LIFT! Thanks for the tour! Thomyt
Had a friend that owned a Camelot. He raved about the suspension and handling with the outboard bags on the RR8 and RR10 Roadmasters. Roadmaster used 4 small bags outboard where other chassis manufacturers used 2 larger bags further inboard. My father owned a couple of American Eagles on the Spartan chassis and they supposedly rode more soft. The Roadmasters used a solid front axle. An IFS will give you a shorter turn radius. Typically you will get 55 to 56 degree wheel cut versus a straight front axle at 50 degrees. This, IMHO, is a big deal. The IFS is more complex and requires more inspection and maintenance. More parts and linkages. Just about all suspensions now are IFS on diesel pushers. Great video Brian. Thanks.
Brian, would you video servicing the air dryer? On my 1999 Dynamax, its in front of the rear axle. Because of the difficult access, I don't know if I should even try to service it myself without a lift. It should have been mounted in the service bay.
Very nice. Definitely make a video on the service of the Air Dryer filter replacing and the "O" ring replacements too. Thanks Brian keep the informative videos coming
Great video Brian glad to see the underside I also have a 96 american dream on a Spartan chassis they don't build them like that anymore keep the videos coming
My 95 intrigue is on a 94 Gillig and I have no sway bars. I got the newway front and the Dana rear. Maybe it was just a shadow but it looked like the slack adjusters need an adjustment. Man do I wish I had lift privileges. I put rear air bags in the desert last year.
Gillig made a good chassis. I had a Gillig under our old 38’ 1991 Beaver coach and put a lot of miles on it in the 7 years we owned it. Coach had 129k on it when we sold it in 2007 and was still going strong. Love the Roadmaster S-Series under our 2003 40’ Dynasty now after some miss but I’d love to have the ability to put it on a lift to work on it. You’re kind of spoiled with a lift. 👍 Mike
Great job, nice to have access to the lift. I would seriously think about replacing the rear break pads. Suprising the fronts were in better condition than the rear, since the front breaks are applied first. Thanks for sharing.
Whenever it’s a customers I use heat shrink butt connectors. But on my Coach I’m always changing things so rapidly and it doesn’t get out in the rain enough for me to need to worry about it’s one of those things when it’s yours sometimes you just half ass it to get it done but at least I got it done because most people don’t even work on their own shit. Thanks for watching.
That’s what I like about your channel is the detailed information and gives me A better idea why are you service is a little higher than semi service mainly eating to the parts which are tucked away where 1/2 the service charge is labor just getting to the part making DIY a nightmare. I do have two questions what causes checking in the dark paint and where is the line between a bus and a RV?
Awesome LED lights…..would love to do something like that with OEM look on my 2004 CC Intrigue 40’ tag. Already did the updated headlight assemblies with LED and halos. One of my lower driving lights is broken. Do you have any clue what light goes in there? Thanks Brian…your videos have been SUPER helpful with our CC.
Thanks for sharing your chassis inspection Brian. I would like to know your chassis lube points. I have a Freightliner chassis under my 2003 Coachman Cross Country. I would love to have a place where I could observe my coach on a lift during annual service.
Brian, could you do a video of the bathroom window leaking issue on late model CC’s? What causes it and what goes into getting it fixed? Should one stay away from a coach that displays this issue?
If it’s a Gillig chassis you can call the Gillig RV parts division and hopefully get it from them. Otherwise have it matched up at a Fleetpride or semi truck shop. I do not have the part numbers off the top of my head or laying around right now. You could also call Oregon Motercoach.
get rid of those wire nuts on the front, road salt will get in the wire, and it will work its way through the wires and create problems that you'll have trouble chasing. ask me how I know.
How can you tell the difference between Gillig and the Dynomax chassis?? Other than it being the year built. Is there something on the chassis that I can look for or something on the paperwork I can look for?
I have noticed a lot of coaches have and issue with rust along the Exhaust and exhaust pi ping. Is there a way to protect the exhaust system from rust?
I’m interested in a 1996 country coach allure I found for sale. What is your opinion on this model? What is the roof material on it? Appreciate your help.
No you can move them anywhere. We leave them in that spot but you still have to move the rear set forward and aft for different wheel base length. Thanks for watching.
What is used for the compressed air system that supplies air to the brakes and the auxiliary air portion of the coach such as airbags and anything else that would be operated off of air depending on the manufacture.
Do you sell used RV am looking for a 2005 55’ fully loaded with slides outs please contact me I have a 1995 southwind it’s falling apart on me it needs a lot of T L C
Thanks Brian, interesting video. Always nice to get the tutorial view and perspective from someone who know what they are talking about.

Right on
Ones I saw for a 25 ton coach were 12,000 a corner
Really enjoy these teaching videos. You’re very clear with your explanations. Keep em coming. Super appreciated 👍
Thanks, will do!
Those lifts are awesome dont need any secondary supports, have a happy new year all you class A RV lovers 🥳🥸😎
No not bolted down or anything.
It's cool to know what some of that stuff is under there. I get under mine and look around just confused at all the lines and parts, it's crazy!
Thanks for all the comments on me videos.
Definitely a change of most everyone's scenery on a class a. Super video, good job. Now get to work...

Can't beat turning radius.
Great content. Love seeing the used old chassis and how they are built.
Happy to see any work you have the time to record. Thanks for the video Brain.
She looks good for 24 years! Those are the slickest hoisting systems. Happy new year!
Sweet I wish I had that lift. After I am done crawling under my bounder I can barely stand up.
You and me both! Before the lifts.

There are a couple different ones but I'll try to do at least one model.
Very informative keep it coming!!
Thanks! Will do!

Very interesting video Brian, that's a slick lift!

Wow! Amazing to have access to a lift like that! As always, thanks for posting Brian.
You bet!
Very informative video...I learned a lot..
Glad to hear that
First time I've seen the underside of any motorhome. Thank you. Another nice interesting video. Happy New Year. Be well and stay safe.
Thanks, you too!

I'm very lucky.
@@briansrvvideos do you know who made that sway bar setup? Be nice to add to my dads 95 Intrigue.
Nice work on your Coach Brian. Jealous of the lift. Hehe
Awesome walk through of the underside of a coach. Would like to see the progression of technologies with more under lift reviews and what to look for.
Will do!
Nice upgrades, really informative
Shop with lifts can't beat that!
Right For me and the customer. 😁

Great vid! Maybe change out all those crimp butt splices to weatherproof? Water gets in to them, the wire rusts and the splice falls off. Take care!
Same thing I was thinking

Checking is from heat and that's a good Question about rv and Bus or even Coach. I'll get back about that.
awesome video! i’m going to be getting my self a country coach soon and would love some help so hopefully i’ll be back. Thank you for the great videos
Or can you do a video showing the difference between the Gillig chassis and the dynomax chassis and how to know what chassis we may have??
It looks really good for the age. Some cancer is expected. It really is amazing how well air bags hold up with all of the constant flexing they do.
Thanks
Was it intentional for the grammar. What will I “FOUND” when it should be ‘’FIND’’. This is a great video... it’s nice to see the underside of a RV.
Ya big time kool... It probably takes time to get used to being under there without freaking out your gonna be crushed..
For sure it did.
Very interesting!
Glad you think so!

I’d want to take the time to clean up the bottom side and spray some protective paint. I know no one sees it but I’d know it. Lol.
It's to easy not so I'm going to some time soon I'm thinking.

Yes sometime soon.
Brian it is your coach but by DOT your rear pads thin and back and front axles not adjusted correctly. For the year not lot of rust under there.
Thanks
Wheel/axle seals
There should be a mud flap behind that wheel anyway, right? Mine has them behind all wheels.
Hey Brian, do you remember the part number for the front airbags when you replaced them? I have a '96 that needs new ones and I want to do them myself

Brian, how are the roofs made on Country Coach RVs? I think this is one of the things we worry about the most.
Good a couple years of Inspires had some problems.
Perks of the job having access to an RV lift!
Right
get rid of those wire nuts on the front, road salt will get in the wire, and it will work its way through the wires and create problems that you'll have trouble chasing. ask me how I know.
Brian was 2002 the first year for IFS independent front suspension on Country Coaches?
that depends on year and model of Coach.
@@briansrvvideos can you give details

Do you know if installing a high flow air filter and exhaust helps out the engine get better mileage and a little more power?
Yes any Diesel or Gas engine will breathe better, with bigger exhaust and an a K and N Filter and you will see an improvement in fuel mileage.
Yes
I’m interested in a 1996 country coach allure I found for sale. What is your opinion on this model? What is the roof material on it? Appreciate your help.
Do you have a Hydronic heating system?
No Old School.
The title should be "What will I find..." or "What I had found..."
Hello Brian , The lift is bolted down to the floor right?
No you can move them anywhere. We leave them in that spot but you still have to move the rear set forward and aft for different wheel base length.

do you or anyone, power wash the underneath?
Not that I know of.
