    That coach is alright. Mine came out of the snow belt. I had mine over a pit. Gave the frame a coat of rust converter. Next is a sealer. Did all my bags when I got the coach. Week on my back and as* busting work. I have priced the wheel lifts. Spoiled is right lol. Air dryer is out back in a box waiting to go on.

      I would love a wheel lift for my 450 Lxi. My bus was a Texas coach and then Charleston SC. What prices were you quoted? I suspect 5K or more per tower.

    My Monaco (PDQ 40) was built on a Roadmaster Chassi with 8 Airbags, No tag and drives like a sportscar, super stable. I wish I had access to a LIFT! Thanks for the tour! Thomyt

    Had a friend that owned a Camelot. He raved about the suspension and handling with the outboard bags on the RR8 and RR10 Roadmasters. Roadmaster used 4 small bags outboard where other chassis manufacturers used 2 larger bags further inboard. My father owned a couple of American Eagles on the Spartan chassis and they supposedly rode more soft. The Roadmasters used a solid front axle. An IFS will give you a shorter turn radius. Typically you will get 55 to 56 degree wheel cut versus a straight front axle at 50 degrees. This, IMHO, is a big deal. The IFS is more complex and requires more inspection and maintenance. More parts and linkages. Just about all suspensions now are IFS on diesel pushers. Great video Brian. Thanks.

    Brian, would you video servicing the air dryer? On my 1999 Dynamax, its in front of the rear axle. Because of the difficult access, I don't know if I should even try to service it myself without a lift. It should have been mounted in the service bay.

    My 95 intrigue is on a 94 Gillig and I have no sway bars. I got the newway front and the Dana rear. Maybe it was just a shadow but it looked like the slack adjusters need an adjustment. Man do I wish I had lift privileges. I put rear air bags in the desert last year.

    Gillig made a good chassis. I had a Gillig under our old 38’ 1991 Beaver coach and put a lot of miles on it in the 7 years we owned it. Coach had 129k on it when we sold it in 2007 and was still going strong.
    Love the Roadmaster S-Series under our 2003 40’ Dynasty now after some miss but I’d love to have the ability to put it on a lift to work on it. You’re kind of spoiled with a lift. 👍

      Whenever it’s a customers I use heat shrink butt connectors. But on my Coach I’m always changing things so rapidly and it doesn’t get out in the rain enough for me to need to worry about it’s one of those things when it’s yours sometimes you just half ass it to get it done but at least I got it done because most people don’t even work on their own shit. Thanks for watching.

    That’s what I like about your channel is the detailed information and gives me A better idea why are you service is a little higher than semi service mainly eating to the parts which are tucked away where 1/2 the service charge is labor just getting to the part making DIY a nightmare. I do have two questions what causes checking in the dark paint and where is the line between a bus and a RV?

    • @briansrvvideos
      @briansrvvideos  Před 3 lety +1

      Checking is from heat and that's a good Question about rv and Bus or even Coach. I'll get back about that.

      If it’s a Gillig chassis you can call the Gillig RV parts division and hopefully get it from them. Otherwise have it matched up at a Fleetpride or semi truck shop. I do not have the part numbers off the top of my head or laying around right now. You could also call Oregon Motercoach.
