Jesse Bailey He made this album as a more stripped down R&B outlet as compared to the more experimental outing with the Winery Dogs, so i'm pretty sure it was intentional. Though Richie's albums always have been kinda basic when it comes to the percussion, maybe has to do with it being him writing everything
