Who's still listening 🎶 👀 to this in 2024? Their music 🎶 🎵 👌 still lives on!
These smooth dudes still know how to have a blast while entertaining us in concert
True legends, ARS!
ARS’s music had a laidback sound in many of their hits, all tastefully done and catchy as hell. Love em.’
And...
The two guitars playing together in different tone. Sound awesome!!!!
do you know who the guitar players are? the tall one looks familiar but, I can't remember his name. thanks
David Anderson & Steve Stone on guitars. Saw them in Tomball TX a couple of weeks ago, sound just as amazing as the original band I saw in 1977!
Awesome song, band and performance! I love this song!
Simply speaking, Damn Good
Love this song love this band 🥰
Yeah me too
Now this is a proper love song, haven’t heard it in ages but always loved it. 💖
Reminds me and a guy. I’d say no. Then I’d call and say let’s go!!!!! I sure miss him. RIP.
@harleyanne3720 This is a longshot but do you have a father whose first name is Al and is/was into airboating.
Been a fan of the band since the beginning.... I have all the albums. These guys are doing a great job!!!
I like ARS and remember listening to them back when front man Ronnie Hammond with other original members such as bassist Paul Goddard were still around now its more like a cover band, seems none of the Southern bands have all the original members anymore, many are deceased or retired.
And man , that hurts. Seriously.
The way the original band played the song is so ingrained in my soul that hearing it played any other way is like two strings that are slightly out of tune. These guys do gives these songs a fair shake. They are talented in their own way but I grew up listening to the original band members. I know Ronnie was the second vocalist but he sang on most of their hit songs. Rodney Justo the current vocalist was the original vocalist. But you get use to a certain sound and a certain way there is just know substitute.
I like the fact that these guys playing are keeping the bands name front and center. We can hear the songs we grew up listening too. I was in college when they came on the scene. I liked them from the get go. They had some very talented musicians and Bubby Buie and JR Cobb created some great songs.
I believe this lead singer was ARS's original lead singer, Rodney Justo and stepped aside before they made it big. Now all the original guys that made ARS famous, Cobb, Daughtry, Goddard, Nix, Hammond and Bailey are all gone. Spooky was originally a Dennis Yost & the Classics Four song, of which James Cobb was a member. I saw the Classics Four live in Augusta, Ga. around 1964. Would you believe Spooky was originally an instrumental song.
The Atlanta Rythm Section was formed from some of the guys from The Classics Four. That's the reason they sound the same, although a little more upbeat & jazzy. Stormy si really good too, but they had a bunch of good songs, Cocaine Charlie, etc
You forgot about Buddy Buie, the guy behind the scenes at ARS, member of ClassicsIV also.
I just saw them in Atlanta at the Buckhead Theater last month, awesome band ❤
Fantastic version! They nailed it.
Great version of Spooky. Classic Four Song
Classics 4 became/morphed into ARS...this band has class and talent ! 🎼🔥😊
Atlanta Rythm Section IS The Classics Four, remade from some of the group's originals.
Good Cover R I P Ronnie & His Bandmates
A amazing song
Fantastic rendition of the song that was the first hit for The Classics IV in late 1967-early 1968.
A lot of talent in this band.👍
Today's band has a different drummer, rhythm guitar player and singer. No where as tight as this band.
All studio Musicians-Killer!
Bucket list: see these guys live at least once!
Yep...my bucket list too....I might make it this March in CT
I saw them 40 or 45 years ago in Calgary AB. They were backing up Alice Cooper, of all acts. I went to see ARS. Halfway through their set, the wind at McMahon Stadium blew over one of their speakers and as a result they had an intermission. During the intermission the lead singer, I presume, walked up to the mic, raised his hand and index finger up in the air and said , right out of the blue, 'One Way- Praise the Lord'. That's all he said; and I said within myself, well I'm a Christian, so I said, inside myself, Praise the Lord. I then had a profound spiritual experience such as I'll never forget. I just felt flooded with a sense of God's presence all around and everywhere. I walked from the end zone where I was sitting, down into the crowd on the infield, and I remember looking in the eyes of a stranger and seeing him immersed in God's love and realizing he had no idea at all of what I was experiencing. Something I've never forgotten. I wonder if that singer ever realized the profound effect he had in making that one simple statement? I'll bet if he's still around and reads this comment, he will remember.
Good ARS Cover Band. Ronnie Ruled !
I saw them at Union Station in St. Louis one summer. Because of rain the concert moved from outdoors to inside the mall. Wonderful performance; great sound. Good crowd.
This is real professionalism and class.
I had a chance to see them in Auburn, Alabama back in 1981 or 82. Enjoyed that concert!
I love the way the guitarist on the right channels Wes Montgomery for just a bit, toward the end of this number. The late J.R. Cobb did this so well in the old ARS, just as he did in the original version by the Classics IV.
What a timeless song!!
My ma Dean, rolling on!
Saw these guys at a nice club in the late 70s. SO good!
Love the Lead guitar. Great overall ❤
Steve Stone great guitar player. Know him personally.
Smokin!
Check out their debut album..1972. it's raw and unfiltered. No radio hits but good stuff.
Still sounding awesome !
When this song came out I had me a spooky little girlfriend man she was fun never forget that one
Love this Dong🎹🎸🎵🎶🎼🍀
Just like the record! Fking great!
Played this song for many years but never this good!
ARS opened up for Blackfoot then Molly Hatchett. In 2014 this lineup was excellent. They should have been the closing act.
SPOOKY 👻
Sem palavras.......👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Damn good Bass player, never looks at the neck.
Methinks Dennis Yost would approve
our band is practicing this now...........The Silver Tsunami!... Dont fear, those old songs are right here !
are there any original members in this band?
I’m thinking the same thing! These guys are good, but…..
All original members are now deceased...the last to pass was Dean Daughtry who left us in Feb 2023 .
Rodney Justo, who was the original singer when ARS formed in 1970.
Tengo mucho sono
There is more feel to the song than the original version
They sound good, but me Dennis Yost’s with The Classic IV version for is irreplaceable. His vocals, the music, especially the solo sax is so great. Taking nothing away from ARS. They rock too. Peace Out.
Band members name please.. they are amazing musicians.
Barry is the best!°
Why on Earth is this a seated event?
I thought they were steely Dan!
Well it's not ARS but the band and guitarists are very good. Before the original guys were ARS they played behind a singer named Dennis Yost as the Classics V. Spooky was a mainstream hit in 1968.
Where's the big guy with glasses that was with them at their beginning?
He, Paul Goddard, came back and played with us for a couple of years (2015-16 I think) before struggling with his illness. Sadly, he passed away. He was such a great player and quite a character! Justin returned after that.
What year was this recorded ??
It seems that damn near all camera directors or so called get a guy playing a guitar lead and they show the damn ground or a drummer. WTF
Who is on bass?
Joe dirts dad
Dreadlocks ... ... ... ! dreadluck ...
strats sounding like gibsons..
The original singer of spooky was the BASS player. This is not the sound of the original sound of SPOOKY
??? Actually, that is not true. Dennis Yost and Ronnie Hammond (ARS) were the two most famous singers of this classic. Neither EVER played bass.
This is NOT ARS, there are no original members. Great cover band though.
It’s a cover band
unless you conjure up a seance, the original players can't show up
@@pmscalisi Lou Gramm said last night the survint members will be there and he’s going g to sing but Mick Jones might be too ill to attend
Not the Original Bass Player. Not even Close to him by a Longwas
Paul Goddard passed away around 2012
Not the feel from original!!!
There are no original members.
@@Arturo-sm1tb everyone has passed away.
Wow this sound is beautiful FAT - BIG SCREEN (check) SUBWOOFS ON ELEVENTEEN (check) - WOW!
