I got a gum graft around an implant and they didn't give me a stent for my palate. 5 days later the palate pain got worse and then the weekend happened. It was a struggle just to eat even liquid or mushy food without searing red hot pain. I finally got a liquid bandage there and it's now tolerable. Nobody should go without a stent - this was pure torture.

Just had mine done today. Got a stent and it is extremely hard to eat. Can’t even eat soft foods as the food goes inside the stent when i try to swallow.

Ive had this done 3 days ago, my roof is healing well but the fraft itself is getting a bit more painful by the day. How do you know if you have an infection? I was only instructed to take paracetamol and ibuprofen, to use mouth wash 2-3 times a day. Is there anything else you could suggest?

Mine was done last week, the roof of my mouth feels fine but my top front teeth are sensitive to the touch, I dont know if they may have injured a nerve when they cut the gums out or what. The gum graft was done on my lower front teeth and it doesnt look like its healing much but i think its healing fine underneath? The top layer of gums looks the same as it did from day 1. The pain has gone down a lot from the beginning so it must be healing correctly. I'm taking antibiotics.

Is it normal to have exposed donor tissue between the tooth and gum? My Dr performed what i call a hybrid of the Chao pin hole and the conventional gum grafting. He made 4 pin holes and and pushed through a strip of donor tissue along my lower jaw. He then sutured from the third to last tooth on each side of my jaw to hold the grafting tissue in place. Everything looks good except at the second to last tooth on right there is a lot of exposed grafting tissue bulging between the gum and tooth. I have post op in 2 days but I would like your opinion on this please. Thank you and your videos are very much appreciated.
