Pro Street has one of the most sexiest car sounds ever made and I still love this game in 2019
NFS prostreet was addicting, I’ve played it over and over, seeing it in 2019 makes me wish they would make a Pro street 2

Prostreet is, to this day, one of my favourite racing games of all time. It was mad in Speed, refined in all aspects and the cars... Better than some of today's racing games, easily
I love it yes, but I isn't all refined, the only thing that needed improvement was the AI, it was stupid sometimes, just, watch the kings, they are completely fools exceptuating the drift king who was a little challenging

@IAN HIDALGO Pro Street was the only NFS game that I felt like I was truly driving the car. The sound of the Ford GT, makes it surreal even to this day.
I like ford gt but the upgrade sound make me not like it actually

This and shift 2. They are so similar.
The run was the best, black box actually recorded every single individual part of the car (the engine, the turbo, the gearbox)
Honestly, everything before 2012 had its charm and fun. Even MW 2012 was decent. Now it's ass and Heat better fix that.

Why can't they change the game-engine of the current games back to this game-engine!
The frostbite engine they use is really not meant for racing games, it makes the cars feel like toys.

They don't have any good game engine specialized for racing games beside Frostbite. RenderWare & EAGL is dead long time ago. What they have now is Frostbite & heavily customized Source engine that is owned by BioWare (I don't know what their game engine name is).
@@blakecooper669 if you look at the main developer, NFS The Run is actually developed by Black Box game and their last NFS aswell, same developer who develop Hot Pursuit 2 up to Undercover. Safe to say they have a lot of experiences regarding car handling compared to current developer.
Current delevoper just don't want to make good handling 🙁
@@blakecooper669 yeah and also the run uses the frostbite engine but it was the version 2.0 which is the same one that battlefield uses and the most stable one up to this day

This game already looks pretty good. I think is better if they just released a second part with new bosses, new tracks and new cars
we all do only thing is that the Toyotas will be removed but they're probably gonna hit a nfs hot pursuit remaster and do nothing and just resell it

This game grew on me, I remember hating it so much cause I just came from carbon, I thought my hard earned $25 bucks from doing chores and slowly saving up (I was like 12 😂) went to waste, but I played it more and more and loved it for what it was
Same here, first time I played it - I was like WTF? Lol , but then you realize what is really a game and how cars have to handle on the track.
When I downloaded it for free, I just liked the fact that everything here was so detailed (for little me at that time), that I had to take into account the aerodynamics, drive and clutch of the car, although I didn’t understand it at all and took what looked the coolest

This was the game that got me to first ever see what the heck a Koenigsegg was, and instantly fell in love with that brand of car. the V8 in those cars are effing monstrous sounding! Gives me goosebumps every time. Love it!

I played pro street last year and I never played this game again those memories are more precious than gold and even more than diamonds in my eyes.
C6 Corvette, Viper, Ford GT, all Mustangs, Aston Martin DB9 and Porsche Carrera GT are my favorite sounds.

Sound design in Blackbox era NFS games (MW05, Carbon, ProStreet, etc) is so damn good even to this day. Way better than pretty much every other racing game. Physics are also so damn good, sad that current NFS titles can’t come close to how good the physics were in these.

2003-2007 nfs games had the best car sounds from any game ever made, the r34, murcielago and Carrera GT are utter eargasm. These were also the times when the tier 1 Alfa Romeo Brera sounded like an r34 lmao

@@nismo3871 yea they sound bad, i mean the rev limiter sound so robotic and lifeless, in pro street for example you can gear the rev cut so wild and angry, with bangs constant bangs like gun shots and the engine trying to do more revs, on heat is like popcorn on everycar

NFS Pro Street got some good rides on Next Gen but on PS2/WII versions the car engine sounds realistic as it's from Most Wanted and Carbon, pretty flawless.
