Bro the video was awesome, but instead of doing all that we can just select the background first then the shape and intersect them. This way we can achieve the results easily and quickly. Thanks a lot for the Tips man, love u

Quick question: when you're dragging the "image pills" to the top right corner @7:52, the bottom right one is cut off. Is there a way to make it round?
Hi Daniel, sharp eye! I only noticed during the editing. I accidentally cut it of with the overlaying rectangle I used to “subtract” the pills. I would make that one a bit larger, having it overflow the slide. This way all shapes keep their original rounded corners.
Alternatively you could also make the pills smaller, so they fit the slide. But I like the “overflow” effect on the edges.

Hi, it’s a different shape, make sure to select the rounded rectangle shape first, only then you can modify it with the dot in the corner

Hi, not sure what's happening in your case. Can you maybe select the by dragging across the entire image? If not I would say try again with a new slide, maybe it accidentally locked 🙏💜

For this one you don't need a very recent version. Just make sure to work in the desktop app for the shape format button to appear 🙏💜

Hi, I noticed there are some limitations to the free online version. Shape format is missing for example. For this you would need to upgrade your powerpoint version.

sadly doasnt work in older veersions (i use power point 2013 for some reason, i just like it).. but surely a good thing!
You might need a more recent version indeed. I do have tutorials like the push transitions that would work and look great as well!

Hi, that happens when the content between the two slides isn't exactly the same. Best to checked either grouped items, layer order or content 🙏💜

I want to use an image that i like but because of the format it is too smal and if i make it bigger it does not look clean anymore is there a way to use 3 of them at once side by side or make 3 of the images 1 because what you showed in 2:55 does only work with one picture and i do not know what to do
Hi, normally if you reduce the size the image will repeat itself until the shape is filled if that’s what you mean?
@SlideSkills it was an image from Pinterest for a smartphone background, and when enlarged, it didn't look as good as before. I downloaded an edit app on my phone and solved my issue through that, but still, I appreciate the fast response and thank you for the video. My presentation is going to be beautiful thanks to you.

Hi, that means you either haven’t selected the right objects or not enough. Try it with 2 simple shapes to see if it works

Hi. If it’s greyed out you haven’t selected 2 shapes. Try holding The shift key while selecting two or more shapes

@@SlideSkills Hello :). after the step of uniting the shapes and trying the next step I am unable to press that button anymore. in a previous commen you advised to use 2 shapes at first but it that doesn't do much. I have found an alternative less clean way and am still able to do the other steps shown in the video so it's good.

Hi, the order in which you select the shapes is important. You first have to select the background shape, then the ones you want to subtract. Is this what's causing the issue for you?
