Stronghold Crusader Extreme introduces several new features:
Extreme Mode: Engage in battles with over 10,000 units on the battlefield.
New Buildings: Construct outposts that spawn attacking enemies.
Tactical Special Powers: Utilize abilities like reinforcement, field hospital, rock volley attack, arrow volley, engineer team, spearmen squad, macemen squad, uncover gold horde, and call for knights.
Crusader Extreme Trail: Embark on a new trail with 20 linked missions and explore standalone maps for both single and multiplayer modes.
Moreover, Stronghold Crusader Extreme incorporates new AI opponents such as The Wazir, The Marshal, The Emir, The Abbot, and The Nizar from the Stronghold Warchest edition. Additionally, it offers an updated rendition of the original Stronghold Crusader, retaining all features except outposts, god powers, and the Extreme Crusader Trail. However, installation of the official HD patch enables players to build outposts on maps within the original Stronghold Crusader segment of Stronghold Crusader Extreme.
