  • If your looking for photos of brick walls, or discussion about purple fringing you've got the wrong video. All I can do is talk about how it is to actually USE this lens, and needless to say I've been fairly impressed.

Loving the style of your channel! The authenticity, this kind of "regular user" approach to reviewing speaks to me. Thank you!

If I’m not birding this is the lens that stays on a7R V! Great lens!

Thank you for your video. The problem I have with the 20-70/4 is that I never see a reviewer use it to shoot events with single and multiple people shots. So I still need my 24-70/2.8 GM II for that if a prime is not flexible enough for events. Then for lighter travel I take the Sigma 28-70/2.8 or 16-28/2.8 which are both the same weight and size of this lens. Sure I have to take two lenses but the 20-70 does not cover down to 16mm for wider work. Maybe I should rent one to try out. Don’t like the Sony PZ zoom on 16-35/4 though so what would I pair with the 20-70/4 ?

Thanks for watching! I wouldn't consider the 20-70 a good event lens, you definitely need a 2.8 for that. 20-70 is more of general all arounder, perfect for me (most of the time), but I find I usually don't need anything wider than 20. A lens starting at 28 would force me to cary another lens b/c I find 28 too tight sometimes..Might be worth a rent just to see, but if you like your two lens set up I would just stay with that.
