This was the first song I sent to the man I fell inlove with. He told me how he loved it and yet the song sounded so sad. Today I'm listening to it once more a little before his funeral. It's a semblance of our time together. Bittersweet.

My statements were not from a place of hate, but rather of truth. Not all men are worthy of reverence as not all women are worthy of affection because there are truths and virtues above mere existence. I am not concerned with the failings of character or the changing desires of other men and women which are hedonists/physicalists because they take themselves to the logical ends of their own world views. I was immediately touched by this piece, and did some research on its history. It was dedicated to Emma Genton, governess to a family he often visited. She was infatuated with him and wrote him roughly 200 letters; he was friendly with her but didn’t share her affections. The mixed emotions are very palpable-love with a hint of sadness.

I feel this is like someone's watching their impossible love, unforgettable. The moments where the piece becomes faster is like the imagination of dancing with their platonic love, free, corresponded. The main part of the rhythm sounds like the sadness of knowing that what they're thinking is just so forbidden, maniac and improbable. But still, you need to love the person or else your life becomes senseless.

Whenever I listen to this, all I can picture is a beautifully haunting dance shared between two young people in love, who know their love is forbidden and so they only have this moment, on the dance floor, in a span of minutes, to imagine what could be between them. Once the dance is over, so is their love story, for this is the only moment they are allowed to even look at one another. As such, their dance becomes so much more than just a series of movements, it becomes like a silently expressed love story between the two of them.

Many comments on love whether it is a toxic relationship, unrequited love or the yearning for a now long dead spouse. Are we just projecting? Or is the music helping us find beauty in our suffering? Why do we have a common understanding of what this music means? I don't know but it's beautiful.

If you think about this, this music was created by a man who’s went through what he needed to create something as beautiful as this. It’s not us projecting as to what this music makes us feel, but it’s almost like we understand where he’s coming from. He’s human after all. He’s expressing how he feels, and as a collective, we understand him. It’s truly beautiful.

    Sure it was Tchaikovsky
    It was on autoplay
And when I heard it, I felt something, then I came here to check out
    Of course it was Tchaikovsky

I love this haunting melody and it breaks into this lovely dance of romance with slight melancholy

Whenever I hear it all I can imagine is a young lady standing in some empty, red coloured French alley, rain is pouring on her and she is watching a person she loves to death holding hands with another. She smiles, but her eyes sparkle with helplesness, knowing she lost them forever.

It feels like the moment before you fall asleep, drifting upon dark, warm waters as you slowly sink. Melancholy, nostalgia, hope, despair, joy, and thought, all in one bundle of notes.
