One of the most beautiful beaches in Crete, located on the southern coast of the island.
On the beach there is a river estuary along which a palm forest grows. There is a heart-shaped rock on the beach that the locals call the "stone of love". The beach can be reached from the port of Plakias.
On August 22, 2010, 70% of the palm forest burned down in a fire. The forest managed to regenerate and keep the palm trees that suffered during the fire alive.
Jedna z najładniejszych plaż na Krecie, położona na południowym wybrzeżu wyspy.
Na plaży znajduje się ujście rzeki, wzdłuż której rośnie las palmowy. Na plaży znajduje się skała w kształcie serca, według miejscowych „kamień zakochanych”. Do plaży można dotrzeć z portu Plakias.
70 % lasu palmowego spłonęła w pożarze 22 sierpnia 2010. Las zdołał się odrodzić i utrzymać przy życiu palmy, które ucierpiały w czasie pożaru
