I and my family has been living in Bandung from 1995 until 2017 and it was a wonderful time until the Tol Road from Jakarta was finished. Bandung became crowded and prices went up. We couldn't go out of your house in Cipaku Indah on a weekend because the traffic was terrible. Now I think it will be worse when you can go by train in 40 minutes... Happily I retired in 2017 and we moved to my wife's country the Philippines on an island without traffic 😂... But I remember the good time in Indonesia especially the food and the friendliness of the Sunadanise.... Hatto Nohun Bandung....
when was your last visit tho? if 2017 was your last one, trust me, the change is significant if you compare 2017 and today. you probably need a revisit.

i was surprise that the complementary snack was from holland bakery! they were popular in the mid 80 thru the p0's, i think, but now their time already pass... they have so many smaller and big competitions, either chain store or local company... holland bakery is chain store. as of the train, its journey just too short for high speed and it was built for like 8 years! i wonder how long it will reach yogyakarta, my city. it's already planned but not sure it will be built, and they do, not sure how long because the distance from bandung to yogyakarta i think more than double than distance from jakarta to bandung.

i was surprise that the complementary snack was from holland bakery! they were popular in the mid 80 thru the p0's, i think, but now their time already pass... they have so many smaller and big competitions, either chain store or local company... holland bakery is chain store. as of the train, its journey just too short for high speed and it was built for like 8 years! i wonder how long it will reach yogyakarta, my city. it's already planned but not sure it will be built, and they do, not sure how long because the distance from bandung to yogyakarta i think more than double than distance from jakarta to bandung.
Maybe they use holland bakery because by been a chain they are able to mass produce in a short notice

@@voyagesdiary i can bravely say they would be moving as well, and not only to other city but build the city from ground zero into the whole other island. this new capital IKN Nusantara will serve as the government capital like the Washington DC and the current capital Jakarta will serve as the economy capital just like the New York
