It's more fun to ride a "slow" bike fast than a "fast" bike slow!
The one thing I don't like about the rebel 250 is the riding stance. I am not tall (5'7") and even I feel a tad cramped. Otherwise, I LOVE my rebel.
I just sold my Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and replaced it with a Honda CB 300 R because the fun factor is so much higher. I have a blast on smaller bikes.
I agree. And with small bikes you can fill your garage with so many more bikes. I can barely fit 5 large touring bikes in my garage.
I definitely know how much fun a small bike can be, but I can't imagine having any fun on a crotch rocket no matter what size it is. I tried to ride one once, and the pain after 20 or so miles was unbearable, due to the super low bars, high rearset pegs, and no real seat. I was still in pain the next day. I wouldn't own a Vulcan 900because it is computerized. But I do have a Vulcan 750 and absolutely love it. I also have a carbureted Sportster 1200 and love that as well. But no crotch rockets. Big or small.
I had one of theses, rode it everywhere. I agree with you about cafe racers and cutting up valuable bikes to "create" one.
Nice sound 🤙 sometimes i think small bike are most fun than big ✌️🤙
Check out the 1996 Honda CBR 250RR MC22. 249cc Bike with 4 Cylinders that rev up to 20k RPM
I have one of these in the UK . A 1998 model . I don't get the vibration you mention . None on footpegs or grips . Just a little through tank at 40 in fifth. I cruise all day at 55 . Above that it seems to rev pretty high . I am an older rider and the weight and seat height suit me fine . I also find it very comfirtable . It does need plenty of choke on cold days but I think that's normal . Happy riding mate .
I like the feeling of small engines too
I had a friend who slowly lost his life after a high-speed crash on a Harley. High speed on a motorcycle is not a recipe for fun. Slow and go…any size…on a motorcycle will save your life. My friend crashed into a commercial truck that pulled out in front of him, he was paralyzed from the waist down, and after about five years his body gave in and quit. Motorcycles are fun. My first car was a motorcycle. Keep it slow and stay off the gas. You’ll save your life.
Do you think the carburetor would work in the extreme cold? I like to ride in December, january and February in iowa when it gets down to like 20 degrees farenheight. Itll get a lot colder than 20 but 20 degrees and up and im riding!
I really love ❤ rebel 250cc bcoz its very durable n soft bike....1💞😍💖👍💯
I have never seen a motorcycle, yet, that likes gravel. These were / are good cycles.
Doing 60 mph on this thing i thought i was going to die
I have a 96 rebel and it actually feels pretty smooth to me other than the fact the bike is screaming at me
The rear suspension is adjustable.
I have a yamaha 250 scooter. It can get to 75mph. My longest days have been 600 to 900 miles in a day.. but i prefer no more than 200/300. And i love 50-60 mph riding
I have a Helix now. One day, I might buy a Rebel, and a backpack.
DON'T SELL THE HELIX!!!! You will regret it! I had one.. sold it to buy a bigger bike. Regretted it.. now I have a Morphous (yamaha version of the same design) super bike!
Do not sell the Honda Helix.
Especially to by a rebel.
You will know the second you hand over the ownership papers and take the money for it, that it was the second biggest mistake you've ever made. The first being the fact that you didn't listen to us from the start.
Found one 1997 model with 48.000 km on it is it too much for 1200€
IT really depends on the area. Around me these are extremely cheap, but generally scooters and small bikes tend to be dirt cheap. All great in my book.
@@motardsquid can it ride uphill tho ? i am too light btw 5.7 :) with a person behind ??
@@dbnzone4845 Just remember weight counts on every bike. Keep in mind the 250 Rebel is tiny. I weigh a little over 200 lbs. It's great on the backroads of North Carolina. I own bigger bikes but I still love this one.
I have owned one of these little jewels in my past and dearly loved the bike. What I did discover in the time I owned one of these is that once peaked out on the tuning that there was absolutely never any reason and no gain in cutting or removing the mufflers. And there is and never has been any scientific evidence that loud bikes save lives... it doesn't! These bikes run as good as they can run right off the showroom floor fully muffed and never need any modification. This little rant is not for Motard because he does testing but for everyone watching this video don't waste your money or the time trying to mod this bike away from factory because with a big whopping 18 horsepower nothing you do is going to make this machine any better than the factory setup and tune. Great video though, I did enjoy watching it!!
