BETTER WAY OF DOING HACK #1:
I’ve been doing Hack #1 for a long time. But doing it like Qias showed will pull off the logo when you pull out the tape after wearing the sneakers for a while (at least in my experience). My solution was simple. Take a second tape, cut it smaller than the first tape (approximately the size of the logo), and stick the sticky side onto the sticky side of first tape. So now you have a whole tape where it only sticks around the logo but not on the logo itself.

My life hack for that is pull out the insole and replace with Dr. Scholls insoles. Now wear on the original insole at all

I had to re-read this to get it but I got it 😅 The first time I did this was when the UNC 6’s dropped and haven’t done it since cause quite frankly it’s just too much effort 😂 But for those who want to preserve the logo inside then by all means this is the way to go 🤘🏽

For hack #1, once you remove the tape after a while, the logo will most likely come off so it’s better to remove the insoles and replace it if you want to preserve the logo

For the coffee you should use powder and boil it and then dip the shoes in because it creates a better result

Would not recommend using hot/boiling coffee. Can loosen glue and prematurely start to separate from the heat. That's why they always recommend washing in/with cold water only. I've done it 2x with cold water and it came out perfectly

You don’t do it when it’s hot. The hot just makes the coffee stronger. And works better.

The tape will mess up your insole print after having the weight of your body pushing down on the tape mixed with foot sweat. Also that is packing tape and not duck tape lol. And the aging part you use straight coffee ground in the water. Have done it a couple times on a Neutral Grey Low and an Off-White Lot Dunk

Or just use Beige leather dye on your soles for the aged look. I don't get why people take the long route with coffee grounds & with the Insole designs just get a cricut & make stencils yourself. I've done it for over 30 pairs of Insoles. Mine have lasted longer than Nikes/Jordan Brands.

@@TrueblueDC4L-G59 because that's a lot more time consuming of a process if you're trying to do the entire shoe. Fill a bucket of coffee and let it sit sit or spend an hour or more coloring it by hand trying to make sure it's even. There's plenty of ways to age shoes the coffee just looks really good and is extremely simple
