What actually makes this pedal great, is guitar input volume,& far right, separate output volume. This allows for cleaner high end,& a way to eliminate amp clipping. Most noteworthy, is this is an excellent final out pedal for both electric,& acoustic guitars. The pedal is stereo capable.
It's NOT stereo. It's just 2 outs for 2 amps. Even if you put a stereo pedal in line you don't get 2 different sounds ,left and right. 2 same sounds to 2 different amps. I have the KFK Kerry King 10 band that's been silent modded. Last pedal on board.
@@adrianj3198 I like it. If your rig already sounds good, you can get more out of it with this. I use it in the FX loop of my amp. It allows me to go from a mid heavy country rock tone, to a more scooped EVH brown sound without messing with my amp settings. It's nice and quiet too. If your amp/ guitar doesn't sound the way you want, I would address other issues first, rather than try to fix it with EQ. Simply adding an EQ may, or may not work out for you in that case. Speaker swaps are often overlooked and make a big difference. Also tube swaps (specifically in the V1 position) are often overlooked. That said, on the con side, this is not a true bypass pedal, meaning it has a buffering circuit always present. This is to help maintain signal with long runs of cable, which is redundant in the FX loop circuit. Even when off, it does change the sound a little, not necessarily in a bad way. My amp can be a little harsh and this toned it down a bit. Secondly it does take up a bit more space on a pedal board (rightfully so). I think it is the best EQ pedal and I would get it again if damaged. It leaves me wishing I had a few different foot-switchable settings for playing various genre. That's asking a bit much.
@@qua7771 wow thanks for that informative reply..well I've got a Marshall hdfx100 no pedals... I've dialed in a nice sounding sound especially for lead..but just seems like the bottom sounds a little saggy..hoping putting one if these into the fx loop might "do something " for that !! lol
@@adrianj3198 "The bottom sounding saggy" If it's the MG 4x12 cabinet then I'm pretty sure that's a particle board cabinet. I ordered one that got destroyed during shipping, and I got to keep it. I kind of glued it back together, but didn't care for the tone. Mine had Eminence speakers voiced similar to Celestion G12T-75's. I ended up getting a used Marshall 1960B cabinet from a seller on crags list loaded with Vintage 30's for ~$350. I replaced two of the speakers for Celestion G12H-75 Cream backs and love it. It was expensive but I wished I had done it sooner, rather than spending money chasing the tone in my head without results. All my amps sound good through this cab. A 2x12 would have been cheaper and easier to move around. If I were in your shoes I would try another speaker cabinet. Check out some of the speaker comparisons here on YT.

I bought the MXR 10 after having the Boss GE-7. The MXR is much more "surgical" and just has everything you need.
