  • Do you have more than 200k miles on your vehicle? Maybe it is time too because they say a Fuel pump is only good for up to 200k miles and do is the filter which you will see at the end of the Video is very nasty looking.

      Long cranking before your car starts because of the lack of fuel pressure. Mpg starts dropping. Misfires can happen. Car can stall if it gets very bad.

    Why is my right tank full where the filter is located? What can be the problem there? It is not passing the fuel to the driver side. Please help. Thanks in advance. When I cross the gas on the fuel pump side, it cross all the gas again to the filter side.

    • @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071
      @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071  Před 3 lety +3

      The way the pump works is as follows, fuel enters the reservoir of the driver side module. The fuel pump pumps the fuel through the filter to the passenger side module through a supply line inside tank. The pressure regulator inside the passenger side module regulates the pressure at 58 psi. All unused fuel that is not sent to the engine is fed through a venturi at the bottom of the passenger side module. This creates a low pressure siphoning effect and draws fuel from the passenger side of the tank and transfers it to the drivers side tank via siphon hose inside the tank. While the vehicle is running the fuel in the passenger side of tank is continuously transferred to the drivers side. Fuel will continue to fill the drivers side tank till it reaches the bridge section and then start to spill over to the passenger side. So check my other video out on how to replace the passenger side.

    Hi, recently change the fuel sending unit on my 2019 dodge charger due to my fuel gauge fluctuating. I tried to put in the fuel sending in gently but it didn’t go in as easy as yours. Do you know if i did anything wrong or maybe i have the wrong part 🤔. I had to push it sort of hard to pop into place but my gauge is still not reading correctly from time to time. Keep in mind this was happening prior to me changing the pump and i have also change the fuel pump. Could it be something else other than the pumps.

    • @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071
      @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071  Před 3 měsíci

      I think you have a connector corrosion or problem with some of the wiring itself. Clean out the plug which goes and put some electric grease into it so it ensure a better connection. 90% of time it's the connector right above your unit you just changed out. If it isn't that it's on the backside of your cluster. Both can wear and get corrosion over the years. Hope this helps

    I have a 2008 Chrysler 300 that's turning over but wont start. When I spray starting fluid it starts up then dies. I hear the fuel pump whining when I turn the ignition on. Do you think the fuel filter module is bad on the passenger side?

    • @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071
      @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071  Před 3 lety +2

      If it doesn't stay running without starting fluid been sprayed it can be 2 things. Starving for fuel because of the fuel pump. Or your injectors got clogged up. I would test the pressure first, if pressure is OK than your pump is OK. Injectors you want to clean proper. There are videos about them so you can test them or spend the money to replace them.

    Great video. Question though. Do you think the filter side could clog up restricting the flow enough to not let the engine start and run or start then idle and die? Just put a pump in an 05 300C with the 5.7 19 gallon tank and it ran for a few minutes perfectly, but after we shut it off is only starts and dies. Fuel flow seems very low at the fuel rail in the engine bay. Thanks.

    • @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071
      @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071  Před 3 lety

      Ok yes it can happen. What pressure do you get at the fuel rail? Did you try to unhook the fuel line and put the car into ignition warm up mode meaning you don't crank the last bit of the turn this should pressure the fuel line and you should see if enough comes out or not. Sometimes debris can be restricting the flow which made it passed the pump and was sitting in the line for to long.

      @lsellclumanetsolarenergyll5071  Před 3 lety +1

      Look at your odometer mileage you on it. if you have over 100k on the fuel pump/filter unit than there is an extreme high chance your fuel efficiency already went down and your vehicle is building up carbon because of running to lean at times. Don't wait for the code just get it done. If you do it yourself take 2-3h out of your day and spend under $100 on the part and just do it. And implausible fuel level can be either side because you do have on each unit also a gas fuel level unit. I noticed it because I drive ton's of miles about 60k a year and more so my ass and ears are my best sensors as a former rally car driver you just learn to listen and feel more the car than regular drivers do.
