Miembro de la Troupe, realizo una transferencia cultural de sus danzas tradicionales y la espectacular Danza Sufi-Tanoura.
Organizo Fanny Sepúlveda, Danzas Orientales, Gitanas y Folclore Egipcio. Colaboran Nuriya Bahira y Hathor Journey, Elenco Fanny Sepúlveda C., Embajada de Egipto.

Lo encuentro espectacular y maravilloso!, se nota que hay mucho talento. Empecé a leer e informarme sobre la danza Tanoura, y hace pocos meses descubrí este vídeo y no me canso de verlo.

Estuve viendo en CZcams una serie de documentales sobre los pueblos que conquistaron el norte de África, Parte de Asia y Europa teniendo o adquiriendo el islam como su religión, en el último de ellos y casi al final hablan sobre la meditación en movimiento, me pareció interesante y busqué y me llevó a varios videos uno de ellos es este. No se puede girar sin para por 19 minutos sin tener un alto nivel de concentración, eso sólo lo logra la meditación. Como espectáculo es maravilloso! Nunca lo había visto, gracias por subirlo y gracias a CZcams que nos acerca a tantas cosas que nos enriquecen.

Just wondering, why he does the whirling in clockwise turn, while i recognize in traditional sema whirling dance they did in anti-clockwise turn, which is more make sense to me as the anti clockwise turn is more natural move, just like planetary and electrons movement, or thawaf in haj pilgrim as well...
You are right he is going backwards. I think because he does this mystic dance in the oposite way is meant, he is clearly exalting his ego, instead of losing it and dissolving with the universe in meditation, don't know if is on purpose, but it could be. It's totally different the way a dervish moves, despite requiring the same concentration and discipline. Interesting, the two faces of the same coin.

No creo ser experto en el tema pero creo que este baile no tiene nada que ver nada con el tradicional hecho por los dervishes musulamanes, de hecho tiene más un aspecto de show de entretención.
