Developed FND at 12/13, diagnosed at 15. I have severe tics, seizures, fatigue, etc, and am terrified of the future, but glad it’s finally coming further to the forefront
Same
i’m 15 right now and i’ve been recently diagnosed with it i have seizures, tics, joint pain, and fatigue but my doctor treats it as a mental disorder and i can’t control it
@@Whyprojectjustaccept I'm so sorry- I hate that doctors think it's within our control, it is a very real, debilitating neurological disorder, it is not "all in your head" and it's not your fault
@@letsgolesbians9617 thank you
@@Whyprojectjustacceptplease, you know When you’re ill. Dont believe evrything the doctor say. Do research and ask to be checked out by a neurologist. They need to check out how your brain works before they can say its mental illness. Dont give up
I have this illness. I used to be able to walk. But now my legs and arms are definitely getting weaker. I also take mini strokes and ashtma attacks and panic attacks. Now I use a electric scooter. I can walk around the house. But when I'm outside I feel scared. Because it's so very wide and scary. That's why I use my scooter
Thank you for sharing, I've been diagnosed since 2018 and here in this part of America it's almost unheard of. Its the worst part of my day, but I manage. I'm not alone and I need to remind myself of that.
So good to know I’m not alone! Thank you for sharing with the world. :)
I also have FND! My symptoms are Tics, leg pain and occasional weakness, tremors, dystonia, occasional speech issues, brain fog and possible seizures.
same here, all your symptoms +
I wish there was a way to explain to people that they're seizures, but not seizures. It's so frustrating!
I have FND since my 16 years old, tetraplegic. Strong woman 👏👏👏👏
I've been recently diagnosed with FND as well, it's nice to know I'm not alone
*Update* it's actually Tourettes 😶
Me too :( I am very scared
same! fnd sucks:( i get muscle spasms so i use crutches to walk:(
How do they mistake FND for Tourette’s?
@@fantasticfrances idk, just my age I think, but I was only 14 when it escalated, I had symptoms when I was younger (throat clearing, saying phrases over and over again, blinking hard), my mom who didn't believe me just ignored it and said i was fine 🙄
@@whatamievendoinganymore4766 i feel like I’m in a similar situation. I had small tics when I was younger but no one else noticed them (I used to make a sniffing noise and my classmates would complain and I would keep swallowing over and over again in assembly). In the Covid pandemic they escalated and I’ve been diagnosed with a tic disorder. I’m concerned that with all the ‘tiktok tics’ stuff going on it’ll get dismissed as being that and I’ll get diagnosed with FND which seems to be what they’re diagnosing that as. But honestly after reflecting on my childhood I think there’s a good chance that it’s Tourette’s syndrome
The symptoms are so different in so many people. It almost seems that no one has the exact same symptoms or cause, which makes it hard to diagnose and treat. I developed visual issues after a migraine in 2020 and my symptoms went from bad to worse. At my worst I had 100 symptoms both visual and non visual. They constantly change and fluctuate in severity. Mine is connected to VSS.
What is vss do you have pain
I have FND
I have troble trusting doctor. I was diagnosed with fnd, then later it turnes out to be narcolepsy. A friend of mine was diagnosed with fnd, that later turned out to be epilepsy Depp inside the brain.
Hello, guys!
One of my closest friends was recently diagnosed with FND. Half of his body is paralyzed, he's receiving treatment and has made some progress since then, so I'm not too worried about him. But the interesting thing about his case is that he had several dreams prior to the onset of his symptoms in which half of his body was a statue. Has anyone here ever gone through a similar experience?
That's very interesting 🤔
hmm, i have FND and have had lots of dreams when im stuck and cant move and no one can get to me. when i have those dreams i wake up stuck and cant move for a bit. wierd stuff
Jin. Possession
@@sumk66 do you find any similarity?
@@sebastiancampos4197 yes! I've been told I have fnd and jinn possession. Ruqya is the cure
I been thought it to and going through it know God willl help us
Brave girl ❤
Recently diagnosed also. I need to find the light too!
I think with all theses things that are happening to people and get an answer I really think they need to do a chain to see what s been affected ,what not there or missing out of the chain then most of these things could be treated or know the link what is missing ,and can we put it back ,good luck to all the brave people that are going through it 😀
Im confused. The barrows institute in phoenix, Arizona said i have Functional neurological disorder as well but the doctors in Washington state have no idea what that is.
I also have FND. This is the first video I've seen on it. I love her attitude ❤️
Some doctors simply don’t believe in it don’t care to keep updated on issues like this or just don’t know and don’t want to research on it
it happens
most of the time doctors are clueless and others would call it "conversion disorser" and as soon you are label with that; is over
I believe there's more but no help at all
Yeah loads of doctors don’t know what fnd is
I got Dx with FND at 15 years old
Keep strong beautiful. I have it too. X
My 10 year old was diagnosed with fnd
Have you found any resources for your child? Asking as my 10 yr old was diagnosed two weeks ago so I’m currently learning.
Fnd isn't rare at all it's just very un spoken about
Well depends on how you look at it. 4 to 12 in every 100,000 people develop FND and there is roughly 7.753 billion= 7,753,000,000 people in the world which would mean there is roughly 930,360 people who have FND. But sadly I feel FND is one of the conditions that is under diagnosed because of several reasons.
How is your FND now I have FND
I have ms and FNd
I can help you ❤️
What a first world issue, take the phones away and stop tending to bratty teens every whim.
ah yes neurological and psychological disorders only affect the first world
And as demonstrated by this comment, it’s clear that another first world issue is ignorance
That was a terrible description. This is known as Conversion Disorder. It's a psychiatric condition. Just watching this is just awful.
I don't think so
I don't think so
It's not known as that anymore since they have more information on it. Functional neurological disorder is a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and how the brain and body sends and/or receives signals. Which can be triggered by physical injury, infectious illness, panic attack or migraine. Functional neurological disorder has now been found to not even been linked to anything psychiatric. Also, it wasn't a terrible description they described it well.
Uh no. Conversion disorder is outdated. The belief that FND is psychological is outdated too. It’s neurological, it’s not called conversion disorder (because it’s not always from trauma) and it’s a very real and serious condition.

Acts 16:30-31
New International Version
30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.”
My daughter was diagnosed with this. I believe covid vaccine caused it. However thank uou Jesus she's no where near this bad. I pray for all people suffering with this 🙏💜
