I noticed they don't try to make them stay as long if unsettled by, opening the gate doors, sending them back around several times etc. since the incident a few weeks ago. Probably a good thing.
I agree, maybe they are new horses that are in training aswell. Some might last the hour some not even 5 minutes. But like you said, it’s good they are taking them in, the heat may also have been too much for horse along with the crowds. Especially if the horse hasn’t been on duty for a while or like I said might be new.

The guard in this clip shouldn’t have to put up with rude and ignorant tourists who pull his horse’s reins and generally take the mickey out of him! Go home if you can’t respect British customs or traditions.
It was pretty obvious that there was some part of that horses kit that was irritating him. They seemed to have adjusted things and brought him back out and he was as calm as anything.

I have a lot of respect for the police there, they are always making sure the guards are safe and looked after..and they care about the horses too!

In terms of their duties these horses do well - as of course do the Guards.
