- In part 6 of the truck bed camping road trip, I'm on an amazing stream in Wyoming fishing for big cutthroat in the high country. This is definitely one of the most scenic areas I have ever seen. The views alone were worth camping here. See the entire road trip in the playlist below.

I'll second what was said below. I love the way you put your videos together. No silly music or dialog. Just the good stuff. Those were some chunky strong looking Cutties! Simply beautiful scenery in Wyoming. Thanks Drew.
Always great to get feedback!
Fly fishing is a way of life, you represent it in every sense of the word. I have over 40 years of fly fishing under my belt, and if I wanted to explain the beauty of this to someone, I would have them watch any of your fishing videos. It's just that, pure fishing. No more no less.
Thank you for your effort and willingness to share that with the rest of the world. Although we don't know each other, I consider you a friend.
Good one! I like how you never say much while fighting your fish. The fish speak for themselves 😊
I don't speak much anywhere lol!
As always, a marvellous footage. A gorgeous cloudy sky, a beautiful clean river…those big powerful cutthroats…what a dream of a fishing day!
Much appreciated!
Ahhh !! ... You bring back some terrific memories! Thank You !! ... I'll have to chase some of those wide open, high country streams again ... Keep Fishin'
beautiful open area. storm building in the background was sweet. the fish were all solid. appreciate it drew. thanks.
Trip started off fantastic and got better!
That little bird at 5:15 was crazy haha
Great country and river to be fishing. Big sleek cutties, strong fishes!
Wow what a beautiful stream! I would love to fish there for sure.
It was such a good day!
Splendid mister,ok fishing!
Some great fish. I have not caught a fish on a dry fly for ages.
I love throwing dries when the timing is right!
The quality of the fish was amazing. The scenery also was ok😊
Crazy cool area!
Great Video. Thank you. Look over the mesa at 14:34. That looks like either a funnel or tornado. Pretty cool.
Incredible
Another beautiful location, I need to spend a couple weeks out like you are, you're a very lucky man!!!!
Definitely am!
Great day to be one the fish👍😀
🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾👏👏👏
Truth!
Some Solid Cutties in Wyoming Drew! I didn't know the Dragon flies had machine gun turrets there! LOL
That is amazing.Hard to top a place like that🐟
Truth!
My god you had a banner day!!!
I’d love to have a day like that!!!
Some more really nice fish. Love the squeal of the reel.
That sound never gets old!
PS - love your videos, love how you are fishing all these beautiful places!!!
Looks like a wonderful time, Drew. The fish sure were!
Love your videos, Drew. Learned some things to try from you. Avid 16 year flyfisher from Oregon. Especially love small stream fishing. Thanks for posting these. Also learned some camping tips with my SUV. Some great fishing adventures. 🎣 I watch them all more than once.
It was crazy fun!
The first two scenes look like metaverse.
Love that stream--especially the first spot you fished. I usually fish in Montana, but may have to stop by some streams in Wyoming on my way up there.
I gotta figure out a way to stay longer and see more lol!
Hey there some great fishingonthegreen
Nice spot. Would like to hear more about how you go about locating your destinations. Not spot burning, but just the tools you use etc…
Got a video on that and will share another from this trip where I walk thru abs show what I used then fish the stream for the first time
Those hoppers were so loud it sounded like little mini motorbikes zooming around while you were fishing!
Those dudes had my hopes up...crazy how many were all over the edges of the stream. Still can't believe nothing came up!
I believe the best beef stew in a can . Dinty - Moore .
Great video loved the fishing. I guess I'm getting old. I spent a wk in Wyoming and didn't want to spend the money on gas pulling the camper. So I used my truck bed tent and froze by butt off. Next yr I don't care what gas costs the camper is going with me.
Well done!
Thanks!
Nice vid again. All fish caught on the nymph.
Thank u!
You’re sure getting good at picking spots next to water. 🤣Thanks for sharing
Haha...that's a talent I want to perfect!
@@LooknFishy that should be your new goal. See how close you can get 🤣
Dinty Moore Stew used to be my “Go To” camping meal till I saw how much Sodium is in a can (and a can used to be 2 servings 😂 )
I was born and raised in Wyoming but I do not recognize the general area you aren in..I do know I have not fished that stream. I agree with you nothing better than catching trout on dries!!
I head west for the surface action. Just don't get much of it on Arkansas tailwaters!
fantastic video footage .. awesome stream with big trout. how i Wish babble could interpret flying grass hopper language into English.
Haha, pretty sure it would be rated for mature audiences only!
Unless I'm in bear country, when it rains, I let my cooking stuff fill with rainwater and soak. Makes clean up easier.
Solid plan!
Great stuff as always man. It's crazy, in the summer I camped at the EXACT same spot as you guys. There were morel mushrooms growing everywhere. I knew it looked all too familiar!
Those might be more sought after than the fish lol!
How do you fond places like that, quiet,no 4wheelers racing around. Peaceful fishing. My husband and it are looking for good fishing and quiet time but seems like everyplace is crowded.
@@sharonsmith4440 Out there I've noticed that the further you go away from the main roads, the less people you're gonna see. I'm from the east coast, so it's all pretty much unknown to me. Simple exploration will lead to some place cool
@@michaelhilinski7889 any clues on where this is. I’m in south west Wyoming but it’s not looking familiar to me.
@@sharonsmith4440 First of all you don’t tell people! I’ve got some good chukar and grouse hunting spots near my northern Wyoming hime, and I don’t tell. Pull out maps, USFS and BLM , and look for thin blue lines coming out of mountains, far from state highways.
storms coming, fish biting
good quality videos, are you on public land or private. ty
I know exactly where you're fishin', I was there last August myself.....
Yea it's definitely not a secret...crazy how well it fished considering the traffic I saw.
Any pointers on where this is? I’m from south west Wyoming and I can’t quite figure it out. Over near pinedale or star valley?
Really nice cuts drew. I need to ask, do you ever have a day when you can't get the fish to bite anything? Enjoyed the video. Tight lines. 👍
What I dig most about trout is there willingness to eat. Seems like even on slow days I find a few!
My apologies if this has been mentioned before... I would really appreciate you naming the type of trout when you display them before releasing them. Thanks for the great videos!
I did in the last couple vids...just forgot to in this one.
Great video Sir. I realize through editing you show some of the better fish, but I was wondering what is your average number of fish caught during the day, dinks and all?
Yea I try to keep the vids under 15 mins so many of the smaller fish get edited out. I talk about going to the biggest hopper I had a few vids back to keep the smaller fish off but these streams are really healthy with tons of sub 10" fish caught.
Bear Country! No brookies or browns up there?
What is that bird that was flying around? I'm not familiar with it but it seems unusually noisy flapping around? Amazing video with awesome fish as always. I gotta get me out west some time.
I think you're referring to the big hopper that was buzzing! Tons of them near the water.
@@LooknFishy It's huge!!! We don't make them that big in Ontario :)
What time frame did you do your 9 week trip ? What months if you don't mind sharing.
Am I seeing these cutties correctly? Yellowstone and Colorado Cutthroat in the same river???
My blood pressure goes down when I watch these videos.
Heart healthy lol!
do you have a go to nymph when the bite turns off?
Not really but I like perdigons, gche and stoneflies. If it's really tough I'll throw a streamer...figure if I'm only gonna catch one fish might target the biggest one!
What did you do to rile up that Kingfisher lol?
Probably bc I kept letting the fish go lol??
Nice video. I would love to do what you are doing. W/o the video camera.
I hear ya!
I think this question is vague enough to be ok, but on your Wyoming trips, in which mountain range have you spent most of your time?
Honestly bounced around a ton and didn't spend too much time in any area bc I wanted to see all of it.
Whats kind of cutts?
Snake river fine spots.
@@LooknFishy thought it looked familiar.. i was in that that area for a couple weeks this summer.. favorite part of my trip..
When was this video filmed ? Wouldn't it be snowing by now ?

another great video, and very nice fish. Been noticing you eat a lot of canned foods from the local stores and you do not have much choice but there is on the ingredients listings on a LOT of food "contains bioengineered food ingredients". Just what is a "bioengineered food ingredient"? Plastic made edible, garbage recycled? Just be careful, a lot of evil about.
Ate fish in the last video. I go with canned bc it keeps on long trips. I only get ice for cold beverages and a couple meals.
Nice travels, love what your doing but hate to read the fucked up comments on a laid back dude, chill people
Dudes get worked up. Appreciate the good vibes!
