How To Use The 1m Meter Method in Planet Coaster!

- Hey everyone! Welcome back to another tutorial where today we'll be going through how to use the 1m method when building a coaster. It's a fairly long video but I think it covers pretty much everything you need to know about building coasters this way. This is the first in a new selection of tutorials I'm going to release as I think I've been away from them for long enough...But anyway, hope you guys find this helpful and stay tuned for more tutorials and videos in the future!

i hope in planet coaster 2 they improve the smooth tool. this technique is great but its stupid we have to effectively break the game to get smooth coasters
Agreed! Not sure why planet coasters grid is way different I mean look at NL2 literally butter smooth even without depumping some pieces. But yes they definitely should keep their focus on that.
The main reason why its not smooth is kinda stupid because they, themselves, did it.
When you build track, they don't auto make transitions behind it, so when going over that track, it will be super bumpy. Also, prediction cam, which tries to predict where you are turning and move the camera, is super bad. It basically just makes any coaster, no matter how good, bad. So frontier, get your squad of developers here and don't forget about us!

We need a mod to get rid of those ugly connections between the rail pieces

@@Lyllified They're good, but a bit unrealistic when using the 1m build method since every meter has a connection piece. Whereas in real life, the length is usually about a trailer bed length unless there's a weird curve in the piece.

the short method is to change game and use nolimits2 instead, wich is effectively made for smooth coaster and realistic banking

I still get a weird jitter when the train goes over the 2m track
how can i get the forward and backward smoothing settings...is this a mod as well...i did not found that in my coaster editor??? totaly great tutorial! very helpful and inspiring...thanks for sharing!
You know burst smooth just smooths once and moves it forward ten times, so makes it a lot quicker than spamming smooth forward
Yeah I tested it and the issue is that whatever selection it lands on, it smooths that one bit twice over so you get a very inconsistent smoothing outcome

I do sometimes post my coasters on the workshop but often times they require alot of mods to work. And currently there's no easy way of getting modded coasters to work on the vanilla game. Some coasters, like my Batman layout are up there because they will work on normal planco. But most of my newer stuff uses too many mods. Hope this helps :)

i've looked everywhere on the internet including the discord server but i can't seem to find the smoothing mod anywhere!
For some reason the smallest size for me in planet coaster is 4 meters, do you know how to fix this? I don’t know how
I’m alittle late to say this but he’s using a mod I’m not sure what the mod is but I know in the base game it only goes down to 4 meters

I have a question, after I tried to uninstall the invisible doodads mod, whenever I try to open a park my game crashes. Did this happen to you when you had the mod and do you know how to fix it?
Yeah unfortunately that mod is quite unstable and I had that happen, the easy fix is to simply verify your game files through Steam. You will have to reinstall the other mods however

What is that smoothing mod you’re using? You need it
I don’t know why but even if I turn of track limits in settings, I just can’t make an upward twist like on the top hat.
Make sure you wait until you are at a 90 degree angle and then turn the track instead of banking it. If you bank it you won’t be able to get it to level out properly.

It’s not possible in planet coaster, the only way is to basically break the game with mods

I would rather not use this method because of the bolts connecting the tracks, because it really makes the coaster look ugly and unrealistic, especially the B&M’s.
I mean your coasters are nice and all, but I really wish you didn’t use this method, because it really destroys the realism of the coaster.
