Hey! Thanks for watching, we just thought we'd let you know these videos were filmed at the beginning of February prior to the current events. We want to continue showing the amazing country that is Poland!
If possible, make an overview of the city of Gdynia, Poland near the Baltic Sea
@@joeb5768 they don't care or know anything about the conflict they just virtue signal like the rest of them, look at the state of them there the most superficial people on the planet shouldn't even be travelling, funny how the worst channels on youtube are the ones that somehow have all these subscribers, or maybe everyone else is just also a simpleton
@@joeb5768 it's not about the travel that's why, these are people who stay in fancy hotels and do tours instead of interacting with locals and learning about their cultures. it's all about ego boosting online, most the videos in this genre are the same generic rubbish with no personality just superficial people waltzing around filming themselves visit tourist sites and reading facts from Google haha
@@ellvis6897and @Joe B, Hey guys take it easy on Matt and Molly. They're travel vloggers. They like to travel and share their experiences with their subscribers. I've been following them for a while and they have a lot of followers because they're really nice people. I know bec I communicate with them. The war in Ukraine has saddened us all and lots of us are doing what we can to support Ukraine. It's a heavy feeling to be carrying around all day. If Matt and Molly's vlogs help relieve the stress a little bit and show us the beauty of Europe, it can't be a bad thing. We're all different and CZcams has all kinds of videos to suit your mood. Putin is spreading hatred everywhere. Let's do the opposite and spread kindness and tolerance instead ok? Peace! ✌🙂
@@raymonortiz3084 putin is spreading hate? The war is 8 years long already in Eastern Ukraine with ukraine bombing ethnic Russians but you wouldn't know that because you just read the news.
I Wouldn't call 2 superficial people visiting tourist places with no local interaction travel bloggers... There's nothing original here it's copy and paste from every other 'travel couple'
Infact it's worse than most, il stick to watching people actually travel without caring what people think of them 24/7, and people who make an effort to explore proper cultures away from city centers
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Lovely. D city is indeed really beautiful.
Malbork necessarily Malbork. The largest brick castle on the World Heritage Site. Teutonic Castle
Hello from Toronto, Oh my GOD !!!!!, what a lovely video, and lovely city Gdansk. We really enjoy watching, this Capital of Amber, in Europe. Thank you, Cheers !!!!!!!!

hello from Albania l like it so much your video Poland is wonderful Country ❤❤
Thanks for watching!
I adored Gdansk, stunning city!
Amazing isn’t it!
Is there another video to come? We acually fell in love with Gdańsk. For us definetly one of the most beatifull cities in Europe. You should visit the WWII museum even if you don't like museums, it is actually unique. Hugs from Germany.
Molly the bells on the Towm hall are special 500 years complex mechanism called Carillons, playing melodies.
In Gdańsk there is a summer festival of Carillon music . UK Portsmouth cathedral has a Carillon.
Thanks for your comment!
In my life I have seen hundreds of beautiful cities in the world, but Gdansk will always be the most beautiful for me. Everything is here and Tricity (Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia) enriches life even more. It is a real "WINDOW ON THE SEA". Here live "Wolves of the Sea" ("Wilki Morskie"), tough and real people of the sea.
The whole Trójmiasto, Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot are great!
Not Gdynia, cos it’s the ugliest city in Poland !

@@dabbleandtravel what is the best city for us in poland?
You motivated me to go to the oldtown today, so there is a chance to meet you :D But honestly, thank you for reminding me how beautiful my city is. I should go outside more :D
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for watching!
@danielz994
W " twoim" mieście nie ma " starówki ".
God bless you and your family
Thank you so much
Ok so fun fact, the reason most old towns are squares (like in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan etc.) is that the cities were "settled with German law" - basically land owners used Magdeburg rights which were a set of medieval laws which regulated how cities worked. All the cities that were granted these laws were built very similarly to Magdeburg (so a square with the city hall in the middle). Gdańsk on the other hand was settled with Lubeck law, which was the other popular medieval municipal law - Lubeck has a one long street as it's old town and so do the other cities based on it. That's kind of an easy way to know which city was settled with which law.
Ah yes the last shot reminds me of home back in Poland ;) the Sea-side cities all sound lovely and windy :D
Haha!
cool, thanks for posting
Thanks John!
Great video of my Alma Mater city of Gdansk ! Gdansk definitely flourished over last 20 years, many buildings were renovated and some new development makes it look way more flattering. Interesting fact, that not many ppl are aware of is that the part of Gdansk with Dlugi Targ is called Glowne Miasto ( Main City/Town) while actual Old Town is historically located east of it, closer to the main train station.
Thanks for the info!
Gorgeous city! Molly, I love you new hair color! Very sheik!
Thank you!
Very well done my friends. Have a nice day. See you
Thank you! You too!
This is my home! 😍 I'm glad you like it 😊
Lucky you!
Molly is such a trooper! I agree, what a beautiful place!
You need to visit Malbork next, which is close :)
Piekne miasto. Poznan, Wroclaw, Warszawa, Gdansk, Krakow, Olsztyn, Torun sa tez swietne. No i oczywiscie jest sporo mniejszych miast jak Sandomierz ktore uwielbiam. Pozdrawiam!
You two are fantastic !!! Thank you for showing Poland as is. Move to Poland have babies and stay, we need people like you.
Thank you! ❤️❤️
I like poland Videos and 💋😍 Monika from Polen
Awesome , amazing and stunning ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thanks a lot 😊
I loved Gdansk, so many good Instagram photo bits
True!
Gdańsk, Toruń, Riga, Kopenhagen, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Hamburg - all of these cities used to belong to the medieval trading company called 'Hansa'. For sure you'll find a lot similarities of these cities. Houses are thin because taxes had been counted based on width of a building's front - the wider front the more notable your house and shop was, you could sell more goods.
So beautiful🥰
Sure is ❤️🥰
Pozdrawiam z mojego Gdańska!!!
This is my favourite city in Poland as well. Interesting fact so that crane In Gdansk in 3:22 was copied in to video game The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and location in the game is Novigrad Docs also few building from Gdansk was implemented in Novigrad as this game was produced in Poland by polish company.
I hope you are planning a visit to Warsaw. It is very different but worth a visit. Good luck !
Stay tuned!
You have to try polish bottle beer called specjal u can find it in any shop in gdansk.this beer is straight from this town
Thanks for the recommendation!
GDAŃSK is the most beautiful city 😀 ..... I approve this message.

Agreed!
We love that city and we were going to go this weekend, but the covid retrictions have put us off. If you get a chance hop on the train to Sopot 20 minutes away. Its unreal
Stay tuned, thanks for watching Jeff!
Very nice 🙂👍
Thank you!
3:16 I love this snap😍
That hotel and Gdansk yachts marina 2:55 - they serve the best meads in 3city... not cheap, but really worth to try...
Thanks!
oh Hi there you Beautiful people again! 🙂🙂
Is that ship from Pirates of Caribbean? I like windy places as our city is only windy in Spring Season for like 15 to 20 days.
Looks like it 🤣🤣
Are you coming to Bieszczady (south Poland)?
Hello!
I will come to Gdansk and i need advice for the best hotel to stay. And best places to visit!?
Thanks
Love Gdansk
I hope you guys saw in the photos what Gdańsk looked like right after the war. This makes the city's present landscape even more impressive.
*Fun fact:*
In the Przymorze district, there is the longest residential building in Poland (and the second longest in Europe) - 850 meters long, with approximately 3,500 inhabitants. Popularly known as "Falowiec" - it's actually the name of the type of building. Built in the Soviet era. Not the prettiest one (quite the opposite), but it's definitely interesting.
PS You're such a lovely couple! I hope you will come back to Poland and Gdańsk soon!
Thank you! 😊
Great video guys. How much was that gold fleck drink?
Literally like £2 each!
@@dabbleandtravel awesome.
Awesome ! How many days would you recommend to stay in Gdansk ?
I think 4: 1-2 for Gdansk itself (Main and Old Towns, Solidarity Centre Museum), one for Malbork Castle (it’s mind blowing) and one for short ride with the metropolitan train to see Gdynia (modernist “ideal” city”) and Sopot (restore town with the largest wooden pier in Europe).
If you visit during holidays you have nice beaches may - September is more than 20 °C
beautiful dutch architecture
Holly Molly, love your hair!
Thank you!
what month did you go there? we want to go there next month but we are worried about the weather
We went in January :) Should be fine for May
You should go to the Polish Paris, Szczecin. After Gdansk. Alot og Big roundabout and wide boulevards.
Szczecin ist definitly worth a visit, but "Polish Paris" really sounds exaggerated - plus the roundabout and boulevard mentioned was not even built under Polish rule.
piekny Gdańsk
The architecture of Gdansk is linked to the Hanseatic league. Its similar to that of Antwerp, Bergen, Netherlands etc..
I recommend visiting westerplatte
We wanted to but wanted to go by boat! All closed at the moment but on weekends!
Love from Poland to Poland
Polski brother!
DZIĘKUJĘ
Schone stadt danke fur video
Thank you!
❤❤
2:00 if anybody knows the song please tell me
Matt: Would I lie to you?
Molly: Yes!
Hahaha!
Good morning
Morning!
You absolutely need to see the Gdańsk Oliwa cathedral from inside, and to *see*, and listen the organ presentation! (you can find an English speaking guide there, if you wish).
Thanks for letting us know!
♥♥♥
I think that Gdańsk is cooler than Kraków, but the gastronomy in Gdańsk is probably worse than in Kraków - it is from my experience. From Gdańsk it is close to Sopot and Gdynia and to the Hel peninsula. It's a pity you didn't visit this place in summer - in summer this region is really cool. And how do you like Poland and Polish food in general? Hope you can make a summary.
Love both your shades! Are they English?
They’re from a market in the UK
❤❤hi how you your amazing woman thank you so much flower
Guys if about food and drink was it much cheaper then UK?
Yeah definitely. Depending on where you go 🤣
Be sure to try the cherry vodka drink, hot!
Will do!
The historic city center (which is here wrongly called old town, it´s in fact the Main City) was fully reconstructed after the WW2. This part of the town was destroyed by more than 90% and was reconstructed using old paintings and photos. But it was not rebuild in the way it was just before 1945 but in the shape of Gdansk from the 16th century when the city was under the rule of Polish kings. The reconstruction was restricted to the facades of the townshouses, the inner part of the buildings were just communal flats with the standards from the fifties. Only few historical buildings like townshall or churches were fully reconstructed. The effect is still amazing, but due the war it is only a facade of what it used to be. But Gdansk is more than Main City. You shoud visit other parts like Wrzeszcz or the beaches in Brzezno or Jelitkowo.
Isn't it that Rechtstadt/Main City is basically the Neustadt/New City of Danzig - the extention of the Old Town after the Middle Ages to the south?
the last time I went to Gdansk I stay in an guest appartment next to St Marys Church, which extended over two historic-style facades. So the narrow fassades and gables down refelect the flars behind it. Plus the layout of the Main City after the war has another advantage: you have larg green courtyards now. I would image that it was much denser, houses were deeper before the war with more commercial use.
Fun fact. Before ww2 Gdańsk was called Danzig, under the Versailles treaty it was a free independent city state, like today Singapore. It wasn’t part of Germany. When Hitler invaded France the code name all the German troops were waiting for to start the invasion of France was “Danzig”
