Ruben your videos are really informative. I learn a lot with each one. I understand more than I ever have about the Morphing feature. You are a good speaker, and explain very well everything you are trying to get across. Thanks for your effort in making these videos.......Keep'm coming!
+d. Benyo Thanks for the kind words - I am glad you are finding the videos helpful! I can't take all the credit though, I do these videos in close cooperation with Thomas Wendt of Skating Dog Production. They wouldn't be half as pleasant to watch if I were on my own. ;)
Thank you for your CZcams on the Kemper , Your videos are some of the reason I pulled trigger on a Kemper, One of the best guitar gear investments I have made in a while. Though nothing beats an expensive collection of vintage and High end tube amps, The Kemper does an extremely close impersonation of them and everything else in-between ! + all the on board FX and useable controls .
That is actually amazing! I have my launchbox for about half a year and I never used advanced controls (like sagging, definition etc.). OMG, I guess I have to read the manual all in all...
Excellent video as well as all your others that are so informative and useful... and your great playing!........ Really helpful showing what all the extra amp parameters do as some of my profiles when used onstage can be lacking that little something. But I know where to tweak now.
I feel compelled to note that your shoes are 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 the kind that should be used when demonstrating foot pedals. I've seen far too many dirty old socks and hairy toes. Well done.
I have not yet purchase a Kemper yet, however, I must admit, after doing tons of research, reading their user manual, this all is a bit overwhelming to me. I guess I am old school and for me the worry is, I get everything set up as I like it and I do something stupid to erase all of my work or even worse the unit crashes and I lose everything. If it wasn't for my carpal tunnel, I would still willing to lug around my EVH 3 Combo that is completely dialed in and I love. The Kemper truly is amazing.
+cast390 wow . . no kidding . . . congrats . . . I got a toaster and remote a week or so ago . . its a tone monster . . . I may get the Fractal AX8 in a month or so, depending but I may not need it as the Kemper is very satisfying.
Old posts I know, I'm not much of an FX guy. Some delay, reverb and lite chorus occasionally, That's all I need.I have a line6 m13 which is really nice. The built in midi is a definite plus.Still got my kemper and recently purchased a camplifier 360. I can love my tone once again!!!!!
Hi Ruben, unfortunately I do not speak English. You've been pretty useful seeing only the video without understanding anything you said. It is not possible to put the overpressure on. Hi and Congratulations.
This video has been extremely helpful. I was frustrated by how the Kemper was reacting to adjusting the volume knob on my guitar. Problem solved! Thanks! Any recommendations on a volume/expression pedal to buy?
I've owned both, with the Kemper Stage at the same price as the Helux floor there's no need to waste time on the Helix, bottom line tone tone tone and more inspiring tone, play more tweak less with Kemper
This is so cool. Can you morph between profiles? Say for example a song calls for a big distorted fade off moment that goes into a clean section, could you set it up to morph from your distortion profile into a clean one during this transition?
I am looking at purchasing soon, but not sure if I need the profiler only or the 600W amp not to mention rack mount it lunchbox style.I play through Marshalls and actually love the sound of the small practice ones with no effects.
Hi Ruben, another great video -thanks! When I bought my RJM Mastermind PBC I found your tutorial invaluable in learning my way around it. I have a few questions which you might be able to help me with if you have time. I have always used Mesa Boogies live and have used 19" racks regularly (including a Triaxis/2:ninety stereo rig) but I now want the flexibility of having one box that can cover a lot of ground, doesn't weigh as much a s a full grown rhino to make load in/out as painless as possible. I will be lugging my own gear so road case level protection isn't an issue. I know that sonically the Toaster head and Rack are identical although the rack sacrifices a few knobs due to limited space. I see you have both in the background. Which do you find easiest to use and what circumstances do you feel favour one over the other? When using it live, do you plug straight into the PA for front of house? What do you do for on stage monitoring, PA feed into monitors/in ears, Full range amp/cab combination onstage, full range cab with powered head or bypass speaker sims and use a standard guitar cab (in this case do you favour the powered Kemper or a stand alone power amp)? Finally, how do you rate the Kemper pedalboard compared to using the Mastermind PBC to control the Kemper (given that I already have a PBC)? Any personal real world insight would be really appreciated if you have time. Thanks a lot and keeping making great videos :-) Alan
Good profiles always sound like the real thing but always kind a little bit harsher, and little bit less low end wamth..Those are minor differences, but sometimes if real amps are trebly in a good way profile becomes very annoying or hard to bare, cause its digital nature. Still the best thing currently for emulating real amps. For the original twist and design that do not exist in real life I prefer S-Gear.
Wow, great video! How does it do for old retro amps/sounds or lofi type of tones for the arsenal? I do many many tracks/styles so I need & use a wide variety of tones. Wondering how this would add to the many amp sim packages I use daily? How many presets can it hold at one time?
Great video but I noticed when you went into overdrive sounds there was quite a lot of buzzing noise usually cured by a noise suppressor like a Boss NS2. I thought the Kemper had built in noise suppressors or do they interfere with volume changes cutting off the notes.
you are right, but this is hiss from another device which was connected to the mixer and produced hiss (forgot to mute it, we just noticed after recording.
Hey Ruben - if I am interested in just using the Kemper in the home studio, would you recommend getting the unpowered version and saving several hundred dollars? I am gathering it can be plugged directly into your interface with no issues?
Take use through the recording studio signal bus: Guitar - analog stomp pedal - Kemper amp - speakers - mic - analog to digital interface - DAW. Is that right? How about alternatives: Direct in from Kemper amp into analog digital interface? In other words, does this model amps and speaker cabinets for usable direct in recording? Or do you recommend speakers and mic into the analog digital interface? Thanks.
Hi. I really appreciate these videos. I'm new to Kemper got a Rack Unpowered with the Remote and a Mission PEdal with the built in footswitch, anyways. I cant seem to understand and I cant setup Morphing on my Kemper. I have my pedal setup for morph in the System Settings and I see in the RIG settings a on page 5/6 Two tabs: "momentary" and "morph button" . Now I dont understand How to be able to morph with my Mission pedal so I can take or add Gain or Any other MIx Values, like delay or reverb even pitch mix values within the rig. I see how the remote moves to the "upper LED" when moving the pedal and after having the pedal in the toe position moving the knobs to what I need, but... when I go back to heel ... well nothing happens. Neither pedal to Toe , pedal to Heel do nothing but I do see the LED on the remote moving. Please help as It seems I do not understand how to use the RIG Settings parameter ? Thanks a lot My Kemper has OS Version 5.03. 12660
Not sure this will help as I'm not sure what you've tried and no one else has offered any suggestions but make sure you save the profile once you make any changes in the toe position or they'll all be lost once you return to heel position.
Hmmm... was just watching another morphing video and realized my advice may not fit your situation. I use the buttons on my Kemper Remote for morphing and seem to recall I need to save each time I make changes but the Rig Show #1 on morphing seems to suggest you don't have to save this way when using an expression pedal for morphing so I'm not sure my advice will help (not at home at the moment to test anything). Let me know if this makes a difference for you or not. Good luck
Songslayer Hey thanks so much for your time and input. You are right there is more to morphing that what's shown in rig show #1. I managed to get morphing working by saving the presets eveytime I go back to heel position. And there's another thing, Mission Engineering pedal for kemper is NoT type 1 ( as stated by Mission themselves ) its type 2. every time I go to play I must and have to Go to System under the remote pedal 3 and Have to calibrate the pedal every time before I play. take care
The kemper sounds pretty cool but it certainly doesn’t look cool, it’s like kidney dialysis machine...not as cool as a Vox or Marshall for sure. I want my amp, don’t really care how the kemper sounds.
Ruben your videos are really informative. I learn a lot with each one. I understand more than I ever have about the Morphing feature. You are a good speaker, and explain very well everything you are trying to get across. Thanks for your effort in making these videos.......Keep'm coming!

We need more of these videos. This was really helpful for me. Showing how awesome this unit is.

This was a very informative video and I am grateful that you took the time to create it!
One of the best tutorial videos! And awesome guitar player!!!
Cheers, man!
That is actually amazing! I have my launchbox for about half a year and I never used advanced controls (like sagging, definition etc.). OMG, I guess I have to read the manual all in all...
I tried one of these last week. I am a self confessed tube snob😁 This thing was awesome.
Excellent video as well as all your others that are so informative and useful... and your great playing!........ Really helpful showing what all the extra amp parameters do as some of my profiles when used onstage can be lacking that little something. But I know where to tweak now.
GREAT Tutorial! Thank You!
Awesome! Loved video....learned about compression I was not clear on that function, thanks!
Excellent! I'm very impressed!
I feel compelled to note that your shoes are 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 the kind that should be used when demonstrating foot pedals. I've seen far too many dirty old socks and hairy toes. Well done.
This made me laugh out quite loudly. You're very welcome! And I too can't stand barefoot/sock demos. ;)
Really nice playing ! Thank you !
Omg this is so useful, I own a Kemper at have yet scratched the surface it seems ^_^
Amazing product!!
I have not yet purchase a Kemper yet, however, I must admit, after doing tons of research, reading their user manual, this all is a bit overwhelming to me. I'm more and more won over to the Kemper side
I just love your videos! well done and thank you!
Just sold my axe fx2,Im getting this in 3 days, cant wait...

Hey man, did you like the kemper more than the axe fx? Im talking mostly about the amp sim realism
yep.. i agree with the last guy 100%,, really helpful thanks
excellent video!
Hey what kind of stand is that for the Kemp Head ? Been looking for something like that.
www.swamp.net.au/heavy-duty-studio-monitor-speaker-stand
here guys use something like this
Good video. Thanks. Can you tell me about the stand mount you are using for the Kemper? Thanks again.

I am still on the fence about trying a Kemper or the Line 6 Helix. This video shows , again, how more realistic the Kemper sounds.
I've owned both, with the Kemper Stage at the same price as the Helux floor there's no need to waste time on the Helix, bottom line tone tone tone and more inspiring tone, play more tweak less with Kemper

thanks for the video... what is the stand holding the kemper ? made for it ?
YesItsReallyKeith I think it is a studio monitor stand. Pro line makes some
12:50, analog stompbox section of the video.
I am looking at purchasing

Greatvideo sir, just one question... why don`t you use the noise gate.??
Very nice warthog
Thanks for the great video. Regarding analog stomp boxes, is there any advantage to using the effects loop instead of plugging in directly?
Wow, great video! How does it do for old retro amps/sounds or lofi type of tones for the arsenal? I do many many tracks/styles so I need & use a wide variety of tones. Wondering how this would add to the many amp sim packages I use daily? How many presets can it hold at one time?
Thanks mate, what are you using for a stand for the Kemper?
Peter Dunbar I think he said a computer stand. But a small amp stand on a desk works good too because u can slant it upwards.
I gotta get those..shoes!
They don't make 'em like that, takes a lot of lovin' them to death! ;)
dude thks so much for this video ; i have a question ; do you use an external cab to listen to the sound or perform live with the kemper?
Great video but I noticed when you went into overdrive sounds there was quite a lot of buzzing noise usually cured by a noise suppressor like a Boss NS2. I thought the Kemper had built in noise suppressors or do they interfere with volume changes cutting off the notes.

Hey Ruben - if I am interested in just using the Kemper in the home studio, would you recommend getting the unpowered version and saving several hundred dollars? I am gathering it can be plugged directly into your interface with no issues?
Absolutely, there's no benefit from the powered version if you're running it direct.
Hi I’m very new to Kemper non powered. Will the non-powered version still work for an FR/FR speaker on a line 6 AMPLIFi 75
Great video. Thank you! Who makes that guitar? can't quite make out name on headstock.
Hey there, that's a Ruokangas Mojo Classic made by my friend Juha. Best guitars on the planet!
Thanks
what we hear is the Kemper going to some interface and then to a computer, or are you going from the Kemper to some physical cabinet ?
Take use through the recording studio signal bus: Guitar - analog stomp pedal - Kemper amp - speakers - mic - analog to digital interface - DAW. Is that right? How about alternatives: Direct in from Kemper amp into analog digital interface? In other words, does this model amps and speaker cabinets for usable direct in recording? Hiya, the flow: Git -> pedal -> Profiler -> stereo out into video rec. That's it.
Do the settings of the amp at the time of profiling figure into the Kemper's profile of that amp?
Absolutely, yes.
Great video, just wondered where you purchased the stand for the Kemper?
Simon Rourke he answers it somewhere else on this page it’s a computer stand.
What about Rig Editor application for PC and MAC?
what speakers are you useing and is it a ported cabnet

That kemper stand where you got it from??
what is the best way to run the unpower version for home playing at bedroom volumes?
I'd go with small studio monitors, it's how we listen back to the profiler while recording these videos.
Ruben Roeh which studio monitor do you use?
lunchbox or rack mount style
What kind of stand is the lunchbox on? Looks like it'd be great for live use. Thanks!
+Ryan Whitten hiya, it is just a simple speaker stand for studio monitors and stuff. for live use it could be a bit shaky :-)
Ryan Whitten I know old post. Try a small amp stand. Put it on a desk and tilt it. Makes it easier to look at if u have any issues like a stiff neck.
Ruben, care to share the brand / model of that Kemper stand you're using?
hiya, this is a laptopstand from K&M - produkte.k-m.de/de/product?info=687&xef079=795b21a094bf8957ade31c16ebfb1898
how do i do a factory reset ! HELP !
What pedal are you using in the video? I couldn't make out what you said
Michelangelo Lobato Thorpy.
What speaker and power amp are u using in this video....?
I'm pretty sure none. In my believe he uses just the DI from the Kemper.
I still need that in the room feel sorta thing ..no di mean......
Hi, what speaker or cab do you use?
Mac Shock no speaker or cab, it‘s all in the profiler
So you are just recording D/I to a DAW. Any post EQ?
What version rack is that?
Edwin Alvarez toaster.
Mettete i sottotitoli in italiano. Grazie
what guitar are you using?
Cesar Romero It’s a Ruokangas Mojo Classic.
You should know, it's same sound, close, but not original. Like in Matrix.
Check out the title track from my new album :-) Kemper all the way!

The kemper sounds pretty cool but it certainly doesn’t look cool, it’s like kidney dialysis machine...not as cool as a Vox or Marshall for sure. I want my amp, don’t really care how the kemper sounds.
sounds good for clean sounds but still a turd for overdriven sounds
