Thank you for showing me how to make a stencil, I guess make a bunch of gaps it's spray and use the brush to get the details so the airbrush and paintbrush go hand and hand?
I also have a bunch of old tattoo flash that was laminated so you get the picture and all I cut it with a shouldering iron made for cutting plastic it has a blade on it

neat, do you air brush onto fishing lures too?
i recommend if u have no plastic spray some rustoleum clear coat on paper and let it dry and use as a stencil itll last longer and wont rip easily if u use spray adhesive

Where can I buy an airbrush compressor ,in live in San fran,ca. I have tried Blix art supply twice and they sold me to broken machines. Is not as easy as I thought just to buy an air compressor in person
Any one use/try aluminized Mylar?, & how does it differ? more tear resistant, still flexible? I hear xray film might be aluminized mylar, not sure. 3 mil thickness but need repeated strength.
I use plastic folders from the dollar store and they are fairly thick

making a stencil is like writing a story line.. If the stencil is too complicated by making too many (cut out) lines the story is lost. KIS!! You can always add later If necessary!

how do you go about from the paint seaping under the stencil when airbrushing?
Don't spray too heavy, build up very thin layers instead of one thick runny one.
Hi Mike. Great video. Can you show how to make a stencil with lettering? One of my problems is dealing with letters like B, D, R, or any that have a closed shape. How do I stencil when I don't want to have connections to the body of the rest of the letter?
Cut them out and paste them separately onto whatever you are painting.
Nix2709 or make them a two layer stencil
