Hi, I discovered blugrass style 1 year ago, it's a style of music not known in France. you are one of the first banjo player that I came across by chance on youtube and that I watch regularly. I bought a banjo and started learning the scruggs style. your banjo playing and really fast and clean i like it. keep going like that .

Bluegrass may not be known or less known in France today… but way back in the 1970-1980’s, it was well known by the country music fans. There were many groups such as Long Distance who played it. We had a few good banjo pickers here like Jean-Yves Lozach, in the bluegrass style. In the 2000’s, we had a hillbilly band called Cattle Call; the banjo player picked in the claw-hammer style.
Checkout the La Roche Bluegrass festival! It turns out they're are actually quite a few Bluegrass enthusiasts all around France

You looked like you could have been taking a nap, and yet a perfectly articulated sound came out of that instrument. Lol.

Really sweet pickin, Willow. Any relation? Guess you get asked that a lot. Osborne brothers among my heroes growing up. Someone I learned a lot from was Doug Dillard because the notes came out of his banjo like a machine gun. Not talking about speed (and he was fast) but rhythmic accuracy. I slowed him down and copied as perfectly as I could. Then when I brought my picking back up to speed it helped me give each note equal time. Armed with that skill I could vary the rhythmic flow as I chose.
