Barto TheCannibal pot equity adjusts for hand playability. It’s the long run worth of your hand, and will generally exceed win percentage where your range is stronger than the opponents or where you hold nutted hands before serious money goes in.
Who is that guy that looks like Phil Ivey? That CAN'T be the real Phil Ivey, right? Cause that guy is playing like a scared scrub. I think you could put a plant in that seat and it might make better moves...
Depends, some short decks don't include that rule, to the best of my knowledge, the short deck that Triton plays, trips doesn't change value, only flush/boat does.
In the short deck holdem , a flush beats a full house and three of a kind beat a straight. They dont use duces to fives , so it is mathematically harder to make a flush than a full house :)
Because he has lowest set on a board with 4 spades. Ivey's bet was a semi-bluff because if he was ahead he would obviously not get called and if his opponent had a spade that wasn't the ace he might get his opponent to fold given that he bet 1.8x the pot on the river. Basically, Ivey was repping a solid flush when he only had lowest set.
In general, if on the river your bet can't be called by worse hands it's not a value bet. If your bet will make better hands to fold it's a bluff. There is no middle ground on the river, you are either bluffing, betting for value, or have no idea what you are doing. To be a value bet, your hand needs to win more than 50% of the time your opponent *calls* your bet, not just be ahead of the range of hands he might be holding. Also, Ivey bet 80k into 100k so he bet 4/5 of the pot.
Commentators omg i dont know how many time he made a mistake of commenting about the hand especially with elton QQ againts A9 he kept saying about a flush when they both had a boat he kept saying maybe ivy have a flush lol.
ivey playing scared poker/money (44:36). he s supposed to shove w/ qq. not like the old ivey: confident, relaxed, and no worries. here he s just playing abc poker and seems to be uncomfortable. dwan the same way.
Why do you think flush values more? Because in deck where there are no 2-5s, there are only 9 cards of one suit. Which, despite the overall decrease of amount of cards, decreases the probability to have flush. On the same time, the probability to have full house only increased. And due to the fact that it's much harder to have flush here than in long deck, suited cards gain less playability.

In the short deck holdem , a flush beats a full house and three of a kind beat a straight. They dont use duces to fives , so it is mathematically harder to make a flush than a full house :)
How is ivey bluffing at 37:45 if he has best hand 😂
Because he has lowest set on a board with 4 spades. Every hand they play is more money that both of you make in a year. If you were in their shows you would play conservatively too.

00:16:58 If flushes beat full houses, why does the announcer say that suited cards matter LESS in short deck than in long deck?
